Blake has many years of experience working with collegiate recovery programs and is currently the Kennesaw State University Center for Young Adult Addiction and Recovery’s director. We encourage you all to come hear about the wonderful work that Blake is doing! An update on the Center for Addiction Prevention and Support will be provider as well as a current list of upcoming campus activities. We look forward to seeing you virtually!

CITL: Reaching Students Through Intelligent Agents in iLearn
Do you wish you could help your students celebrate a certain grade or give them a gentle nudge on a due date? iLearn has a set-it-and-forget-it tool to help you do just that. Intelligent Agents is an iLearn tool that will automatically send an email to a student based on an action (like achieving a certain grade on a quiz) or an inaction (like failure to submit an assignment) in a course. In this session, we will show what those automatic emails look like for students and link to resources on how to create Intelligent Agents in your own courses. Do you struggle to make your work look professional in MS Word? Want to learn some tips and tricks to make formatting a breeze? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Thursday, 4/4, we will be leading a dead hour workshop on Formatting with MS Word. We can talk about basic strategies and shortcuts to maximize your efficiency. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 304B, from 11:00-11:50. No registration is required, and all are welcome. “When I Was Young”: Alayna Motz Senior Thesis Exhibition
Senior Thesis Exhibition for Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dual Focus
From April 4-16 the Appalachian Center for Craft will be showing When I Was Young, a solo exhibition by Alayna Motz. The work will be displayed in the Lakeview Gallery, Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday 12–5 p.m., reception on April 14 from 12-3 p.m.
“When I Was Young”, is Alayna’s work from the past year as an artist creating work in textiles and graphic design. The work showcases tapestry crochet, quilts, and weavings. Creating a safe space for everyone’s inner child and nostalgic objects and feelings from her childhood.

“Come September”: Matdeline Phillips Senior Thesis Exhibition
Senior Thesis Exhibition for Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fibers
From April 4-16 the Appalachian Center for Craft will be showing Come September, a solo exhibition by Matdeline Phillips. The work will be displayed in the Hilltop Gallery, Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday 12–5 p.m., reception on April 14 from 12-3 p.m.
Come September, is showcases Matdeline’s work from the past year as she worked her way through her senior year. The work showcases a variety of hand dyed materials, quilted into an array of pieces, that seem to shower an assortment of marine life onto the viewer.

The Fall 2024 submission deadline for the Engendering the Spirit of Gadugi at the Food-Energy-Water (FEW) Nexus NRT graduate fellowship program has been extended to May 1st.
