Free LISS Workout!
Join Campus Recreation for a free LISS workout Tuesday the 9th and Thursday the 11th at 11 am.
What is LISS? LISS stands for Low Intensity Steady State. It’s a great workout for beginners, anyone needing active recovery, and an enjoyable workout! We will be walking through campus for 30-40 minutes. Carrying weights will be offered to those wanting a slightly more challenging workout.
We will meet in the lobby of the BURN. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Health Promotion Coordinator Garrett Lucas at glucas@tntech.edu.

Our organization aims to raise awareness by providing information on addiction and recovery resources to students and the community.
Join our second meeting of the semester to see what impact you can make on campus, and support you can offer to students and members of the community who are struggling with Substance Use Disorder.

Call for EDGE QEP grant applications with important changes for 2021-2022
EDGE: Enhanced Discovery through Guided Exploration is TTU’s Quality Enhancement Plan. Since 2015, the EDGE Creative Inquiry Course Grant Program has offered Faculty the opportunity to redesign undergraduate courses to include creative inquiry projects and assignments. Starting this fall, the program will be opened to graduate classes as well. Additionally, the EDGE rubric is now an optional method of assessing student work – faculty may propose another method for assessment. The limit on individual course grants is $5,000. The limit on multiple-course curriculum grants is $15,000. April 5 is the application deadline.

Tuesday, 3/9 at 7 p.m., Center Stage presents Allyson Hobbs
Allyson Hobbs is the author of the award-winning book, A Chosen Exile: A History of Racial Passing in American Life. Hobbs examines the phenomenon of racial passing in the United States from the late eighteenth century to the present. Hobbs is Director of African and African-American studies at Stanford University. This is a Center Stage event co-sponsored by Dr. Julia Gruber, Multicultural Affairs, and the Women’s Center. Free Screening of Coded Bias March 8
WCTE presents a free virtual preview screening of Coded Bias on Tuesday, March 9, at 6:00 p.m. Following the screening will be a panelist of guest speakers from the Department of Computer Science. The event is free, but RSVP is required wcte.org/indielens.

Research and Creative Inquiry Day abstract submission deadline approaching
All students planning to participate in Research and Creative Inquiry Day must complete the online abstract submission form at by 11:59 p.m., Wed., March 10, 2021. After that time, no additional abstracts will be accepted. A confirmation email will be sent to the primary author upon abstract submission. If that email is not received, the abstract has not been successfully submitted. If this occurs, the student should resubmit or contact the Office of Research before the abstract submission deadline.

Co-op Meetup #3 will be Held Virtually on Monday, Mar. 8, at 5 p.m.
Did you accept a cooperative education position with an employer recently? If you accepted a co-op OR are planning to in the near future, attend the Co-op Meetup on Monday, Mar. 8, which will be held virtually via TEAMS at 5 p.m. Any student interested in accepting a Cooperative Education position with an employer MUST attend a Co-op Meetup. The Co-op Meetup will explain the eligibility guidelines for enrolling in the Cooperative Education Program, which went into effect July 1, 2019 for all students. Pre-registration to enroll in the Co-op Program is now required and attending a Co-op Meetup is your first step! Eagle Works registration is now open! Join students from programs across campus to compete for awards totaling $20,000. Eagle Works is a Shark Tank-style competition focusing on innovation & entrepreneurship, problem-solving, creative thinking, and teamwork!
