Daylong Felting Workshop at the Craft Center
Felt Mushrooms, Foresty Folk and more! Learn the basics of needle felting and let your imagination run free to create your own forest floor, complete with realistic mushrooms, Foresty Folk and several woodsy must-haves like ferns, bark, and moss. You will work with armature wire, different types of wool, and finishing and sculpting techniques you can use in other felting projects. Tennessee Tech Football Coaches Show

Tennessee Tech Football vs. UTC
This Saturday, September 6, the Golden Eagles take on the University of Tennessee Chattanooga Mocs at 12 p.m. at Tucker Stadium. Don’t forget to join us for Running of the Freshmen before kickoff!
Tailgating begins at 9 a.m. Enjoy live music, a kid’s zone with inflatables, and performances by the Golden Eagle Cheer and Dance teams.
The student tailgate section is free for students and will be located on the north end of the tennis courts in the grass area.

University, city and county law enforcement hold emergency preparedness meeting
Following recent active shooter hoax calls at other institutions, University Police Chief Fred Nichols met recently with city and county law enforcement and emergency personnel to discuss ways that Tennessee Tech can continue to be proactive in maintaining a secure campus and protecting students, faculty, staff and visitors.
“It’s always good to look at events happening around us, discuss how our plans work and stay in close collaboration with our local law enforcement partners,” said Chief Nichols following the meeting. “The safety of all Golden Eagles remains our highest priority.”
