How to be an Effective Protester
We at the Lambda GSA believe that people should stand up for what they believe in. One of the ways that this is done is by participating in peaceful protests and marches. With the current situations of the world, it is more important than ever to be safe in the ways that one decides to protest. Join us in our Discord server for an online meeting about how to be both safe and effective in protesting. We will meet Monday, September 21st at 6:30 pm. Society of Women Engineers organization first meeting September 22nd, 2020
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) will be hosting their second meeting on Tuesday September 22nd at 6:30 pm in the Ray Morris STEM Center Lobby.
There will be a giveaway and officer nominations. If that isn’t enticing enough, we’ll be having free Sakura (Japanese food)!!

Tomorrow, 9/22, Center Stage presents Ending a Legacy of Maya Genocide
Heather Dean first encountered the people of Copal AA when she was reporting on human rights conditions in Mexican refugee camps. She accompanied their return from exile as they collectively built a new village. Dean will highlight the work of the women’s group in Copal AA and the impact of education in women’s lives, within the wider context of the current fight for indigenous rights and ongoing ecological and political issues in Guatemala. This is a Center Stage event hosted by the Women’s Center and will take place in Derryberry Auditorium at 7 pm. Socially distant seating with masks required, but open to everyone.

Virtual Free Money Game Show for Students
On Thursday September 24th at 7:00 p.m. join fellow students playing the Virtual Free Money Game Show! You will compete against other students by answering trivia questions on your phone while watching the host on your tablet or computer! On the day of the event click the link below with your tablet or computer to watch the host and participate in the game. Once you log on to watch, the host will give you a link to open on your phone to answer the trivia questions! Students will have the opportunity to win cash prizes! Prizes will be sent to the winning students Paypal or Venmo after their Tech emails have been verified by the Office of Student Activities.
