Technology Tools for Group Work
Join the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) as we discuss the different technology tools available to help you implement group work effectively in your courses. We will look at group collaboration using Office 365 and other technology tools. We will also learn how to best use OneDrive, Online Doc sharing, Yammer, Kaizala, and other platforms when working within groups, as well as for your course as a whole. Join the Center for Career Development on Tuesday, Feb. 1, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room (2nd floor) for this Gold Career Readiness Workshop. A staff member from the Center for Career Development will guide you through the top skills that you need for a successful internship or Co-op interview.

Research 101: Subrecipient Monitoring
Join the Office of Research and the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFÉ) on Thursday, February 3rd at 11 am as we kick off our Research 101 series for the spring semester with a session focused on Subrecipient Monitoring. This session focuses on everything related to subrecipients from determining if an entity is a Subrecipient or a contractor to subrecipient monitoring itself -the procedures related to it and the roles and responsibilities involved in the process. Retirement – Sonya Bowman
Please join the library in extending congratulations to Sonya Bowman who will be retiring in February. Sonya has served the campus community managing the Library’s Circulation Department and in more recent years fulfilling Faculty, Staff, and Student requests for Interlibrary Loans. Sonya was the Tech Ambassador of the month in April 2003 and was the recipient of the 2002 University’s Outstanding Staff Award. Sonya invites the campus community to visit her office (room 145A) through the remainder of January between the hours of 7:30 – 4 p.m. There will be a journal available for you to offer your congratulations to Sonya.
