Meet Sheilla Aneno, our February Student Affairs Student Spotlight!
Sheilla is a PhD student in Exceptional Learning with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. She serves as a Graduate Assistant and Research Assistant supporting neurodivergent students. A campus leader and President of the African Student Union, she’s a published researcher, MAD Scholar, and founder of the VOLTAA Project.

Women in Cybersecurity Bale Sale
Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) and CyberEagles are having a Bake Sale on Friday the 13th from 9am -1pm outside of the RUC (closest to Swoops, Chic-fil-a, and Starbucks). The 2025-2026 Eagle Yearbook is now on sale until February 16th. Buy your copy of the this the 100th Volume by scanning the QR code in the image or by visiting https://ybpay.lifetouch.com/Order/SelectJob (Use School ID Code 11096426). Yearbooks are $40 per copy, plus tax. If you miss the deadline but still want a yearbook, visit Eva Dingwall in the Communications office (RUC 376) or reach her at edingwall@tntech.edu. Take a break and enjoy a FREE cup of coffee while speaking with recruiters from EOSYS on Wed, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. in the RUC’s Swoops Food Court.
EOSYS offers co-op opportunities for engineering students to prepare them for a career in automation, controls and information solutions, giving them hands-on experience and technical skills.

Monday Night Clay Handbuilding at the Craft Center
From April 6 to May 11, 6-8pm, learn traditional methods like pinching, coil, and slab to build functional and/or sculptural work. Handbuilding is very versatile, and the techniques can be used to make highly individualized work. The skills learned are perfect for an absolute beginner to clay. Recovery Ally Training
The Center for Addiction Prevention & Support encourages you to become a Recovery Ally! This free online course is designed to help participants better understand substance misuse, addiction, recovery, and the vital role allies play in reducing stigma. The course is designed to be completed in one hour, but the learning modules can be completed at your preferred pace. It is open to anyone who wants to support the recovery community. Register here.

Save the Date for Suicide Prevention
Save the date for QPR Suicide Prevention Trainings this semester! Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) is an interactive Suicide Prevention Training that teaches you 3 simple steps in saving a life. It is important to recognize that anyone and everyone can do their part in the prevention of suicide on campus. These trainings will be offered at 11:00am once a month – February 17 (RUC 101), March 10 (RUC 101), and April 21 (RUC 371). All are welcome!
