“Even Children Get Older”: Charity Armao Senior Thesis Exhibition
Senior Thesis Exhibition for Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting
On April 13, 2024, Charity Armao will open her thesis exhibition, with reception at 5:00 p.m. The exhibition continues through April 22. The show will be located inside the Bryan Fine Arts building lobby at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN.
The exhibition will feature oil and acrylic paintings exploring what it feels like to grow up. Armao revisits moments in her life where she felt her childhood dying and encompasses the feeling of being in between childhood and adulthood. Display Case Use for Organizations and Departments
The Roaden University Center (RUC) 2nd-floor display cases were renovated during winter break. The cases now feature adjustable shelves and lighting that can be set to any color. Two of these cases are available for student organizations and departments to use on a month-by-month basis. To reserve a display case, please contact RUC Coordinator Jeff Hall at ruc@tntech.edu and indicate the month that you would like to use the case.

Judges Needed for Student Research & Creative Inquiry Day
We have well over 200 abstracts submitted for this year’s Student Research and Creative Inquiry Day and need faculty volunteers to evaluate the students’ work. Judging takes place April 17 from 4:00-6:00 pm in Memorial Gym on the Main Quad. Students are not required to be present during the evaluation, though they’re most certainly welcomed. Do you need help figuring out MLA Citations? Are you a writer who never has had to use MLA before, or is confused by the constantly changing rules? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Thursday, 4/11, we will be leading a dead hour workshop on MLA Citation. We can talk about the general rules and guidelines, and how to find specific answers to all your questions. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 304B, from 11:00-11:50. SYMPOSIUM on Friday, April 12 from 9:55 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the RUC, Tech Pride Room.
FESTIVAL on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Cultural Booths and food will be on the Main Quad and entertainment in Bell Hall.
