Local Project Requests – FY24 DEADLINE
Any local project that requires funding to be encumbered for the current fiscal year, the project request form must be received by Capital Projects no later than April 1, 2024. The project request form can be found at https://www.tntech.edu/capital-projects/local/request.php.
These projects may include, but are not limited to:

- Finishes renovations and replacements

- Large furniture purchases
-
- Space reconfigurations
-
- Access control
-
- Coordination with technology upgrades (not solely technology)
Any desired modification which alters the built environment

Chinkapin Players present “I Am My Own Wife” by Doug Wright
The Chinkapin Craftstead will present “I Am My Own Wife”, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Doug Wright March 7-9 at the Backdoor Playhouse. It tells the true story of Charlotte von Mahlsdorff, a trans woman who lived through and survived both the Nazi and the Communist regimes in Germany. The production will feature eight actors playing 34 characters. It explores with humor and tenderness the nature of resilience, personal truths and the stories we tell about ourselves. Tech NSF NRT Program Accepting Applications for $34k Annual Graduate Fellowship
The Engendering the Spirit of Gadugi at the Food-Energy-Water (FEW) Nexus NRT program is accepting fellowship applications for the Fall 2024 semester. Students in this program will have an opportunity to work on FEW research challenges in rural, Appalachian, and indigenous communities.
We are accepting master’s and PhD students for the Fall 2024 semester from various STEM disciplines. Fellowships include tuition, fees, and a $34k annual stipend. English Club: “Writing Time, Writing Family, Writing Secrets” with Dr. Pelton
Dear English-loving students,
Join the English Club as we host Dr. Pelton for his presentation “Writing Time, Writing Family, Writing Secrets” during dead hour on Thursday, March 7 in HEND 216A.
Dr. Pelton is the author of four books, the founder of Starcherone Books, and a professor of English at Tennessee Tech where he teaches courses in Fiction Writing, The Novel, and both classic and contemporary works of American and World literature.

Light Therapy Workshop – Part 2 of Relax, Revive, and Reboot
Please join the Counseling Center staff for our 3-part workshop series: Relax, Revive and Reboot! The sessions will consist of sound therapy, light therapy, and sensory therapy. The second session will focus on light therapy where we will experience and learn about the benefits of light therapy on March 7. Mantra Health is accessible during Spring Break. Even if you’re studying remotely or away from campus, you can access mental health care. The platform connects you with therapists in your area or out of state.
Log In to the Portal Using Your TN Tech Email: To access therapy, sign up or log in to the Mantra Health Portal with your @tntech.edu email. This grants you access to school-sponsored therapy. Your mental health is a priority, and we’re committed to providing you with the resources and support you need.
The Eagle Eye After-hour Crisis hotline will also be accessible during spring break at 855-206-8997.
