On Monday, Nov 25th, UCSC is having a girls and guys bible study! Girls will meet at UCSC at 7 pm. The guys will meet at UCSC at 6:45 pm to walk to Bartoo! Bring your bible and come study with us!

Commuter Lot west of Tucker Stadium to close 6:00 PM Friday evening
The commuter red parking lot located between Tucker Stadium and the Hooper Eblen Center will be CLOSED beginning 6:00 p.m. CT on Friday, November 22, 2024 in preparation for Saturday’s football game. Those still parked after 6 p.m. in the lot, will be contacted and/or towed, at their own expense, to the purple parking lot located on the west side of campus across Willow Ave. Donor Lot A, Donor Lot C, and general gameday parking will open on Saturday. Reserved Tailgate Parking in the 98.5 KISS FM Tailgate Lot begins on Saturday unless scheduled through the Athletics Department.

Dive In Movie with the Swim Club
Come join the Tennessee Tech Swim Club for a Dive in Movie on Thursday, November 21st at the Memorial Gym Pool. We will be showing “Young Woman and the Sea” starting at 7pm. This event is free and everyone is welcome. We can’t wait to see you there!

Visiting Artist Presentation
Cathy Richardson, visiting artist working in glass, will be delivering a slide lecture about her work Thursday, Nov. 21, at 6 p.m. in AV 1 at Appalachian Center for Craft. Please join us to learn more about Richardson’s vacuum encased glass sculptures and her career in glass.

From November 19th to 21st, students can donate unused guest meals to the campus food pantry through our Swipe Out Hunger initiative. It’s an easy way to support those in need while also reducing food waste. Every meal donated makes a difference for someone facing food insecurity. Consider donating your extra meals during this time! -

Join us in the Caf on Nov 19th for a Teaching Kitchen where we’ll prepare meals created by the campus food pantry. For every participant, we will donate to help those in need this holiday season. It’s a great way to give back while learning cooking skills. No prior experience is needed—just come with a giving spirit! -
DIY Puppy Treats
Join us in the Tech Pride Room on November 18th to create homemade dog treats for our local animal shelter! From 10 AM to 2 PM, we’ll be crafting treats to donate to puppies in need of some love and care. This is a fun, hands-on way to give back to our furry friends while showing them some love this holiday season. All supplies are provided—just bring your heart and creativity to make a difference for the pups!

Counseling & Supervision Ph.D. Students and Faculty Present in Dallas
Tech Counseling & Supervision Ph.D. students and faculty attended the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision 2024 Conference in Dallas, TX. Students who presented included Lara Strate, Ravi Patel, Jasmine Reynolds, Paige Seymour, Regina Beach, and Alec Porter, with faculty mentors Agnes Luo, Mark Loftis, Katherine Wood, and Jonathan Wiley. Their presentations covered doctoral researcher development, group learning experiences, teaching social justice and advocacy, and expressive arts teaching. Godspell Auditions Tonight!
November 19, at 6 p. m. at the Backdoor Playhouse. This is the last night to audition for Godspell, a musical based on “the gospels of st. Matthew,” conceived and directed by John-Michael Tebelek. Music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. Performances February 27 – March 8. Rehearsals begin mid January.

This event, hosted by the City of Cookeville, in celebration of the Nationwide GIS Day will feature projects from Tennessee Tech University students and faculty, as well as other agencies across the City of Cookeville. This is a great event to discover more about how GIS is used throughout our community as well as real-world examples of mapping and spatial analysis!
