Appalachian Studies Association Conference Information Session
Tennessee Tech will host the 48th annual Appalachian Studies Association Conference themed “Rural Reimagined: A Grand Challenge for Appalachia” on March 20-22, 2025. Conference leadership invites students, faculty, and staff to submit proposals to present at the conference, to be held on Tennessee Tech’s campus over spring break. Scientific Discoveries: Accidents, Chance, or a Prepared Mind? Seminar on Sept 6
Join the Department of Chemistry as we host Emeritus Professor Dale D. Ensor for a seminar on Friday, Sept 6 at 3:00 p.m. in SLH 126. The presentation will detail stories of scientists that correctly interpreted the unexpected experimental results and made life changing discoveries including x-rays, insulin, penicillin, Teflon, and cisplatin. Tech Men’s Basketball Releases 2024-25 Season Schedule
Your Tennessee Tech Men’s Basketball team has released their schedule for the 2024-25 season.
The Golden Eagles will host two exhibition games on Oct. 22 and 29. The regular season will start on Monday, Nov. 4 with a road trip to the University of Georgia. Tech will host their home opener on Thursday, Nov. 7 taking on Bryan College.
The Golden Eagles start Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) play on Thursday, Dec. 19 at Western Illinois.
The Tech Men’s Basketball team is led by Head Coach John Pelphrey.

Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar: Dr. Vincente Guiseppe, ORNL
The first Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar of the semester will be this Friday at 4pm in Bruner Hall 210. (Snacks will be served starting at 3:30pm.) The speaker will be Dr. Vincente Guiseppe from Oak Ridge National Lab. In his talk A LEGENDary Program: Searching for Neutrinoless Double-Beta Decay in Ge-76, Dr. Guiseppe will describe the technological innovations required in the search for a process that, if observed, would change our understanding of the universe. These seminars are geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are also encouraged to attend!
