Golden Helix 5K
Join us for our annual Golden Helix 5k race on Saturday, October 12th at 9:00 am. We have been officially SOLO funded, so Tennessee Tech students can run for free this year. We are also needing volunteers for the days before the race as well as the day of the race. If you are interested in running or volunteering, you can scan the QR code on the website. Tech students must bring their student ID card with them to packet pickup. We hope to see you all there this year!

“Breakfast with Brad” Morning Fitness Swimming
Faculty and staff are invited to come join “Breakfast with Brad” Morning Swim Workouts at the Memorial Gym Pool. Come get your swim workout in prior to work or just come to practice your drills and your swimming. Based on your schedule, come and swim the entire time or as little as you want. We will meet every Thursday morning this semester from 6:30- 7:45 am for those interested. A light breakfast and coffee will be available on your way out each Thursday. GOLD Career Readiness Workshop – Beginning Interviewing
Join the Center for Career Development for this GOLD Career Readiness Workshop on Thursday, September 19th, starting at 11 a.m. in the Tech Pride Room in the Roaden University Center. Join our knowledgeable staff in teaching helpful ways for your first interviews!

20th Annual Nolan Fowler Constitution Day
Please join us for the 20th Annual Nolan Fowler Constitution Day Celebration to be held Tuesday, September 24, at 6 p.m. in Stonecipher Lecture Hall 113. This year’s speaker will be Dr. Joni Hersch, Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor of Law and Economics at the Vanderbilt Law School. Tennessee Legislative Internship Program
Tennessee Legislative Internship Program- Applications due Tuesday October 8th
Apply to participate in a full-time paid internship in the Tennessee General Assembly in Nashville for the Spring 2025 semester. You will experience the state legislative process hands on, gain valuable expertise in state government, build relationships with state leaders, all while earning academic credit! All majors welcome to apply.

Commuter Lot west of Tucker Stadium to close 6:00 PM Friday evening
The commuter red parking lot located between Tucker Stadium and the Hooper Eblen Center will be CLOSED beginning 6:00 p.m. CT on Friday, September 20, 2024 in preparation for Saturday’s football game. Those still parked after 6 p.m. in the lot, will be contacted and/or towed, at their own expense, to the purple parking lot located on the west side of campus across Willow Ave. Donor Lot A, Donor Lot C, and general gameday parking will open on Saturday. Reserved Tailgate Parking in the 98.5 KISS FM Tailgate Lot begins on Saturday unless scheduled through the Athletics Department.
