Virtual Talon Campus Town Hall: Save the Date for October 22, 9:00-10:00 a.m.
The Talon Team invites the campus community to attend a Virtual Talon Town Hall from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The session will provide key updates and important information regarding Talon implementation, including project updates, platform navigation, end user training and resources, and much more. President Oldham, Dr. Stinson, and Jen Chavez are scheduled to provide opening remarks.

2025 December Graduates – Senior Salute!

WEST Workshop 10/9: Research Tools!
Need help with research? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Thursday, 10/9, we will be leading a workshop on research tools, focusing on how to find and evaluate sources. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 304B, from 11:00-11:50. Author Jennifer Case to Speak October 14
Center Stage present Jennifer Case, who will speak Tuesday October 14 at 7 p.m. in Stonecipher, Room 113.
In addition to her evening presentation, Case will provide a Craft Talk/Workshop that afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. in Henderson Hall 307A on writing creativity with research.
Case is an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. She is the author of two books, Sawbill: A Search for Place, and We Are Animals: On the Nature and Politics of Motherhood, which was published by Trinity University Press in September 2024. Case will give an open public reading from We Are Animals:

Patricio Cosentino to Present Guest Tuba Recital
Center Stage presents Patricio Cosentino, who will perform on Monday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Wattenbarger Auditorium.
One of the few tuba players in the world to commit to a full-time solo career, Patricio Cosentino also stands out for his work as a chamber musician, conductor, and educator. His career reflects an unwavering commitment to the promotion and appreciation of Latin American music, as well as the expansion of the tuba repertoire on major stages in America, Europe, and Africa.

Congratulations New Honors Program Assistant Director
The Honors Program welcomes new Assistant Director, Linda M. White! Linda brings extensive experience in student organization leadership, peer mentorship, and scholarship service management. She holds a graduate degree in Creative Writing—a background that equips her with a collective, community-building approach. The Student Members of the American Chemical Society will be hosting a spirit night fundraiser at Panda Express (1020 S. Walnut Ave) on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. A portion of the sales will be donated to us if you show the flyer in the image or mention ACS when ordering.
