Domestic violence affects people of all backgrounds and is never acceptable. If you or someone you know needs support, reach out to campus resources or law enforcement. Together, we can raise awareness, support survivors, and work to end domestic violence. You are not alone.

Drivers—slow down, yield to pedestrians, and stay off your phone. Safety is a shared responsibility. Let’s work together to keep our campus safe for all.

    Student Affairs Student Spotlight – Charles Jones

    Meet Charles Jones, our October Student Affairs Student Spotlight!

    Charles is a junior at Tennessee Tech majoring in Finance and Economics. On campus, he serves as President of both the Society for Advancement of Finance and Economics (SAFE) and the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). He is also a College of Business Student Ambassador and peer mentor. One of his proudest accomplishments is securing an internship with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, where he contributes to the Survey Center’s economic research. He also founded Jadestox, a fintech startup that has grown to more than 6,000 users, providing students with tools to invest more effectively.

    Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar: Dr. Chattrakun Kanokporn, TTU

    The Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar returns to its usual Friday this week with a seminar given by Dr. Chattrakun Kanokporn (“Tu”), a biological physicist who has recently joined the faculty at Tennessee Tech from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Tu’s talk, Improved site-specific labeling for smFRET measurements using non-natural incorporation, will describe a technique for studying biomolecular dynamics with very high spatial precision. The seminar will be at 4pm in Bruner Hall 210, with snacks served starting at 3:30pm. These seminars are geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are also encouraged to attend!
