  • New Associate Vice President of Facilities and Business Services

    Please welcome Charles (Chuck) Roberts the new AVP of Facilities & Business Services to campus! Mr. Roberts comes to us from Arnold Air Force Base where he was a Colonel and served as Vice President for Facilities/IT/Security/Medical/Student Services.  Over his career with the USAF, Mr. Roberts’ responsibilities have included management of large facilities including asset management, capital construction, housing, energy savings initiatives, space optimization and emergency management.

    Mr. Roberts received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from United States Air Force Academy, Master of Science in Engineering and Environmental Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology and Master’s Degree in Military National Resource Strategy and Policy from National Defense University.

    We are excited for Mr. Roberts to join our campus community.

    Rural Reimagined Club Meets on Tuesday 9/15 at 11 am!

    The Rural Reimagined Club’s first meeting of the year will be held virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, September 15th, at 11 am.

    Rural Reimagined is Tennessee Tech’s Grand Challenge initiative to transform rural living through science, technology, research, and entrepreneurship. We are open to ALL majors, and we hope that through our club we can help you truly become advocates for rural communities by connecting you with opportunities to serve rural areas.

    We will have THREE guest speakers discussing their work and involvement with this year’s club partner, Historic Rugby: Jordan Hughett (Development Associate at Historic Rugby), Dr. Josephine McQuail (Professor of English), and our very own faculty advisor Dr. Jeremy Blair (Assistant Professor of Art Education).     Come join the cleanup! Putnam Proud Event Sept. 19 – 26

    Do your part to make Putnam County beautiful! From September 19-26, teams will pick up litter throughout the community and clean up roadways. Sign up as a campus group, an organization or just as a group of friends! Participants have the option to choose their own area to clean up or to be assigned an area. Register through the TNTech Office of Sustainability and your entry fee will be covered. All supplies will be provided. T- shirts will be provided as long as supplies last.

    We are having a socially distant Open House on September 17, 2020.

    Drop by, meet the current members of the Tech Players, and tour the Playhouse, scene shop, Green Room and other areas. Also, get a chance to see us as we show off our new lighting equipment, get a tour of the booth, and get some BDPH/Tech Players merch!
