    Clothing Donations – Jan 13th through Jan 21st

    We invite the TTU community to contribute to our Clothing Giveaway Drive by donating gently used professional attire. The purpose of this event is to provide our students with professional attire for career opportunities and special occasions. Donations can be dropped off at the Intercultural Affairs office in Roaden University Center (RUC 258) or at the designated locations on the attached flyer until the afternoon of January 21st.     Join the Ultimate Frisbee Club for some fun, casual Ultimate Frisbee! Calling all TTU students—whether you’re a seasoned player or have never touched a frisbee, this is the perfect opportunity to meet new friends and get involved. We will be played from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13th, at President’s Lawn (Also known as Walton Park). Bring water, a white and a dark shirt, and cleats or athletic shoes. We’re excited to see you there!

    Coding for a cause: Computer science students launch website for nonprofit

    During their final semester at Tennessee Tech, three computer science students turned their skills into a passion project: Building a medical outreach website for the Bridge of Aspirations Foundation. Their goal? To help people with neurological and spinal cord injuries.

    No grade . No academic credit. Just impact.

    “We wanted to help support medical care in underserved communities while also gaining experience outside of our classes,” Thomas Robertson said.

    Ugly Christmas Sweater Basketball Doubleheader

    Fans, join us this Saturday, December 20, for our Ugly Christmas Sweater Doubleheader!

    Our Tech men’s and women’s basketball teams will be taking on UT Martin. Tech women’s basketball plays at 1 p.m. and the men’s team will follow at 3 p.m.

    Bring your family to the Hooper Eblen Center on Saturday in your ugliest Christmas sweaters, and don’t forget to get your Christmas photo with Awesome Eagle!

    It is also Upper Cumberland Night as UC residents will receive $5 admission to the game.

    Our men’s and women’s basketball team take on SEMO for their conference opener.

    Tech women’s basketball tips off at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s will follow after at 7:30 p.m.

    Fans, show up and show out in your Tech Gold gear and come out to support your Golden Eagles. There will be a foam finger giveaway sponsored by Pepsi.

    Dec 31: Last day students and temp hourly enter time in TimeClock Plus
    Jan 1: New hires resume. Bi-weekly employees—retirement, extra W-4 withholdings, and flat direct deposit amounts deducted each pay period (not monthly)
    Jan 2: Talon opens for suppliers, requisitions, contracts, POs, travel; last day for leave reports; clerical/temp/student time due for 12/29–1/11; all TimeClock Plus and Leave approvals due
    Jan 6: Last day to submit Corporate Card expenses in Chrome River

  • Upcoming End of Year Payroll Deadline

    Please fill out time before you leave on vacation and approve before leaving on vacation, when possible. All time and approvals will be due on January 5th. By the end of the day on the 5th, time entry will be locked and payroll will auto approve. Any additional time, changes, and corrections can still be made by contacting payroll.

    • Last day to approve out-of-pocket expenses in Chrome River

    December 22

    • Banner Student Registration and Online Payments will be taken offline at 3:30 PM
      All Banner Systems (Student and Financial) will be taken offline at 4:30 PM

    December 23

    • Banner Student Systems will return to service before 8:00 AM
    • Banner Student Registration and Online Payments will return to service before 12:00 PM
