    The History Department will be holding its annual Winchester Lecture on Thursday, April 18th at 6:00 pm. in the Stonecipher Lecture Hall, Room 113.  Bryan Pierce will present “20th Century Migration of African American Tennessee Musicians.”  The event is free and open to the public.  Please contact the History Department at 372-3332 for more information.

    You’re Invited: “Wings Up – Wheels in Motion” on Tuesday, April 16

    The Office of Accessibility, Belonging & Community Outreach invites students, faculty and staff to attend “Wings Up – Wheels in Motion” on Tuesday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to noon in Memorial Gym.

    The event will discuss accessibility challenges and potential solutions as we strive to foster inclusivity and diversity on Tech’s campus. Join us to hear reflections from members of our university community who will spend the morning navigating campus in a wheelchair to better understand the experiences of others on campus. A moderated panel discussion and audience Q&A will follow. Free t-shirts are provided to the first 30 attendees!

    Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar: Victoria Su, Physics B.S., Caltech, 2023

    Victoria Su will be visiting this Friday (4/12) to give an Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar on her post-baccalaureate work at Brookhaven National Lab titled Molecules, Atoms & Nuclei: Exciting Research in low-energy physics. The seminar will be at 4pm in Bruner Hall 210 with snacks served starting at 3:30pm. These seminars are geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are also encouraged to attend! For questions, contact aholley@tntech.edu.

    Going Through the Motions”:  Jillian Warner Senior Thesis Exhibition

    Senior Thesis Exhibition for Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dual Focus

    From April 18-29 the Appalachian Center for Craft will be showcasing the Dual Focus of Graphic Design and Metals exhibition by Jillian Warner.  The work will be displayed in the Critique Room, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    “Going Through the Motions” features four painted metal pieces that when their shadows are cast tell a story of a person’s inner turmoil.  Join us in the experience of emotions and how they affect all of us with metal pieces cut, assembled and graffiti painted on designed artwork.
