This sentiment, shared by a 1981 engineering alumnus, echoes what we hear so often. Together, throughout the six-week fundraising period, alumni, faculty, staff and friends provided $1,191,304 for scholarships, programs and initiatives that put students first.

School of Music Announces Color Guard Auditions
The School of Music and Golden Eagle Marching Band are pleased to share the announcement of our upcoming color guard auditions. Auditions will take place on-campus on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Prospective members must have prior experience spinning a flag. Scholarships are available!

Technical Editing Students Collaborate with iFixit during QEP Project.
Both undergraduate and graduate students taking Technical Editing this semester collaborated with iFixit as part of a creative-inquiry-enhanced QEP Project. Course professor Dr. Kristin Pickering (kpickering@tntech.edu) guided the students’ participation in the iFixit Project, which involved students in creating and editing replacement guides for a laptop, game controller, and robotic vacuum. These guides contribute to the “right-to-repair” movement and help users repair their own devices, rather than contribute to the growing, global e-waste problem. Students also wrote proposals, troubleshooting guides, and device pages for the Project.

Graduate School and Your HOPE Scholarship
Great news for HOPE scholarship recipients. If you are graduating in May AND have not used the whole five years of your HOPE Scholarship AND you want to attend graduate school in the fall, you may be eligible to attend graduate school using your remaining HOPE funds. 3rd Annual Light the Night
Please consider joining Phi Epsilon Kappa on the Quad as we “Light the Night” on Tuesday, April 23 from 7:30-9:00 pm. “Light the Night” is a glow walk intended to raise awareness for organ donation and transplants. We will have free t-shirts, glow sticks, and glow paint for students (while supplies last) as well as a dunk tank and recreational games on the quad as we celebrate and recognize National Donate Life Month.

Join the TNTech Wesley Foundation and Pr Club for some free coffee Wednesday April 17th from 8:50-10:50! Every week the Wesley foundation provides great coffee and great vibes, so the PR Club is teaming up with them to help promote it! We will be next to the solar charging station near Clement Hall.

Under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, schools receiving federal funds must take reasonable steps to ensure that individuals with limited ability to speak and understand English have meaningful access to university programs and activities. Failure to provide meaningful access may constitute discrimination based on national origin.
In order to comply with Title VI, Tennessee Tech partners with Linguistica International, a translation service. CITL: Campus Pulse & Course Design
Are you utilizing our students’ most requested tools & techniques? Join us as we share results from Spring 2024’s Small Group Instructional Diagnostics (SGIDs). In this session, we will share what this semester’s small groups said about what’s supporting their learning, what’s hindering their learning, and what suggestions they have to improve their learning. The instructional designers will share how-to strategies for incorporating students’ favorite learning methods and resources for both online and in-person instruction. Chemours Co-op Presentation- April 16 at 11
You’re invited to attend an informational session with representatives from Chemours on Tuesday, April 16 at 11 a.m. in LSC 1211 to learn about co-op opportunities at their New Johnsonville, TN location for chemistry and chemical engineering students starting in Fall 2024.
