Adult Swim Clinic
The Exercise Science Department is offering a free 5-week Adult Swim Clinic for faculty, staff, graduate assistants, and community members on Monday evenings at the Memorial Gym Pool starting on February 10. If you are serious swimmer that wants to become a graceful swimmer or a beginner that is just learning to swim, I encourage you to sign up for the upcoming 5-week clinic. There will be three clinics offered including:
Intermediate/ Advance Swimmers: Mondays from 5- 6 pm.
Novice/ Beginner Swimmers (comfortable in deep water): Mondays from 6- 7 pm.
Phobic Swimmers (not comfortable in deep water): Mondays from 7- 8 pm.

Chemistry Student Sydney Decatur Selected for ACS Student Leadership Award
The Department of Chemistry would like to recognize chemistry major Sydney Decatur for receiving the prestigious American Chemical Society (ACS) 2025 Student Leadership Award. She is one of 15 students from around the world selected by ACS to receive this award. Recipients are selected based on their leadership skills and they possess the potential to become future leaders within the ACS professional society. She attended the invitation-only ACS Leadership Institute last weekend in Houston, TX.

Love Potion Pre-sale Fundraiser Extended to Feb 7
The Love Potions fundraiser is being extended to Friday, Feb. 7! You still have a chance to pre-order them through our Square Store and have them delivered to a campus mailbox for students or to an office for faculty and staff. They are $2 each or 3 for $5. Applications for the Scholastic Research Awards Now Being Accepted
The Scholastic Research Award, presented by the University Research Advisory Committee, is a university-wide award for a single, significant and innovative work produced, published, performed or exhibited from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2024. Two awards, of $1,500 each, are available each year, with one reserved for tenure-track faculty and the other reserved for tenured faculty. Applications must be submitted electronically in a single PDF to jdicey@tntech.edu no later than April 4, 2025.
