Center Stage presents guest speaker, Ervin Malakaj on “Toward a Pedagogy of Unwellness” Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. in Stonecipher 113.
Ervin Malakaj, PhD, is associate professor of German studies at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He has written widely on media history with a specialization in queer German studies. Dr. Malakaj has co-founded the international scholarly collective Diversity, Decolonization, and the German Curriculum and has been an ardent language and culture

Submit an abstract for Student Research & Creative Inquiry Day by March 11
The 19th Annual Research and Creative Inquiry Day will be Wednesday and Thursday, Apr. 17 and 18, 2024 at Memorial Gym. To participate in the event, students must submit an abstract (limited to 250 words) of their project by 11:59 p.m. Monday, March 11. It is expected that each submitted abstract will be developed into a poster (or paper for those in the English Department) to be presented during the event.

WEST Workshop 2/29: Basic Grammar Strategies
Do you struggle with grammar in your writing? Looking for some ways to improve beyond just diagramming sentences or memorizing rules? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Thursday, 2/29, we will be leading a dead hour workshop on basic grammar strategies. We can talk about common issues and how to learn to edit your own work. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 216A, from 11:00-11:50. No registration is required, and all are welcome. Swing Dance Saves the World
Swing Dance Saves the World is a mix of theater and swing dancing that will be presented in the Backdoor Playhouse during two showtimes:
Thursday, February 29 @8:00pm and Friday, March 1 @8:00pm
In order to make this event accessible to everyone, we are not charging a set price at the door. Instead, we are asking for donations (of either cash or Venmo) which will go towards supporting the club for the future. The show will be about an hour long, and doors will open at 7:30pm. In this session, the CITL Team will emphasize data-driven decisions and introduce Small Group Instructional Diagnostics (SGID). SGIDs involves structured small group discussions among students to offer confidential feedback to instructors, usually midway through a term. February 26th is TN Tech Positive Body Image Awareness Day! Stop by our table in RUC lobby and grab some swag, get a picture with positive affirmations signs, and show your support for National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. In the United States, 28.8 million Americans will suffer from an eating disorder at some point in their lives. Eating disorders are serious but treatable mental and physical illnesses affecting people of all genders, ages, races, religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations, body shapes, and weights. To access the form, select the Eagle tile from your Quicklinks section in Tech Express. Once in Eagle online, select Employee then Tax Forms. The 1095 Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage Statement will be listed here. Select 2023 as the Tax Year to see the current tax year’s statement.
