Adulting 1010 Group Starts Sept 10th
The Center for Counseling and Mental Health Wellness will be hosting a group focused on addressing road blocks and bumps experienced entering college, during college, about to complete college. Adulting can be hard, let’s make it a little less daunting by working together.
Group will meet every Tuesday at 3pm, starting Sept 10th, in RUC room 387. If you have any questions, please stop by our office (RUC 307) or call us at 931-372-3331.

TENN TECH’S ROTC PROGRAM HOSTS 9/11 MEMORIAL STAIR CLIMB
Tennessee Tech ROTC will host a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 5:30 a.m. at Tucker Stadium. Walk without weight or join the cadets and climb with a 35-pound backpack to simulate the firefighters’ gear as they climbed the World Trade Center. Feel free to bring your own 35-pound backpack.

2024-25 Season Schedule Released for Tech Women’s Basketball
Your Tennessee Tech Women’s Basketball team officially released their schedule for the 2024-25 season.
The Golden Eagles are set to host Lipscomb in the annual Purple Palooza exhibition game on Oct. 29. Tech will start their regular season on Monday, Nov. 4 hosting Emory & Henry University.
Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) play will start on Tuesday, Dec. 17 with a road trip to Western Illinois followed by Lindenwood on Thursday.
The Tech Women’s Basketball team is led by Head Coach Kim Rosamond.

Dr. Steven Frye Interviewed by Larry Meiller
On Thursday, August 15th, Dr. Steven Frye was interviewed by the Wisconsin Public Radio’s Larry Meiller Show. The first half-hour of the episode, “Learning Later in Life,” addresses adults furthering their education and exploring opportunities to continue learning. Dr. Frye currently serves as the President of the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education.

International Overdose Awareness Candlelight Vigil
The Center for Addiction Prevention and Support invites you to join us August 29th (tonight) at 7 p.m. on the Quad to honor community members and students we have lost to drug overdose. Adult Swim Clinic
The Exercise Science Department is offering a free 6-week Adult Swim Clinic for faculty, staff, graduate assistants, and community members on Monday evenings at the Memorial Gym Pool starting on September 9. If you are serious swimmer that wants to become a graceful swimmer or a beginner that is just learning to swim, I encourage you to sign up for the upcoming 6-week clinic. There will be three clinics offered including:
Intermediate/ Advance Swimmers: Mondays from 5:15- 6:15 pm.
Novice/ Beginner Swimmers: Mondays from 6:15- 7:15 pm.
Phobic Swimmers: Mondays from 7:15- 8:00 pm.
