Hot Water Outage
Please be advised that campus steam and hot water will be interrupted beginning 8am on Friday, Oct 18 while a water line repair is completed at the steam plant. The university is carrying out this repair during Fall Break to minimize disruption to students.
The temporary hot water and steam outage is expected to last approximately three hours. This will affect building heat throughout the campus. Natural gas and electric water heaters will continue to operate at:

Tech Cross Country Hosts Golden Eagle Invitational
Your Tennessee Tech Cross Country teams are set to host the Golden Eagle Invitational on Friday, October 18 at the Putnam County Sports Complex. The women will begin their 6K at 3:30 p.m. with the men’s 8K to follow at 4:15 p.m. The Golden Eagles will be celebrating senior night post meet at approximately 5:00 p.m.

It’s not too late to get your complimentary tickets. Bring your immediate family! Simply present your Eagle Card/ID Card at the Athletics Ticket Office in the Hooper Eblen Center today (between 8a – 4:30p) or pick up tickets on game day at the Tucker Stadium ticket booth an hour before game time!

Meet Liezl Laurel, our October Student Affairs Student Spotlight! A senior from Smyrna, Tennessee, Liezl is double majoring in Computer Science and Spanish. She’s a campus leader, a dedicated Spanish-English Interpreter for ESTAR Sanos, and an award-winning researcher. Liezl encourages other students to embrace growth and step out of their comfort zone. Tech Athletics 12th Annual Purple Palooza
Join us at the Hooper Eblen Center on Tuesday, October 29 for Tech Athletics 12th Annual Purple Palooza event. Trick-or-treating will start at 4:30 p.m. followed by exhibition games with women’s Basketball at 5:30 p.m. vs. Lipscomb and men’s basketball vs. Oakland City to follow.

Course Evaluation Information Session with IARE – October 25
Get the most out of your course evaluations. The Office of Institutional Assessment, Research, & Effectiveness is hosting an online session about the IDEA course evaluation tool and the role of instructors in selecting the Student Learning Objectives most appropriate for their courses. When instructors select the most relevant objectives for their courses, IDEA reports provide a better evaluation for what occurs in the classroom.
