Office of Communications & Marketing Moves to Crawford Hall
The Office of Communications & Marketing will be closed the week of May 9 to allow staff to transition to their new workspaces in Crawford Hall. The office will be occupying the entire first floor of Crawford, and this is a permanent move. Staff will ensure all projects currently underway will be notified and updated before the office closes for this transition. Writing Workshop: Revision!
Is this the semester when you stop letting your first draft be your final draft? When you actually have the time to revise and edit your paper for class? Do you struggle with revising for content, and instead spend all your time making minor grammar and punctuation changes? Does your instructor keep telling you to revise your work, and you’re just not sure what they want? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Tuesday, 4/12, we will be leading a dead hour workshop on revision strategies. We will talk about organization, how to see your work with new eyes, how to focus on cohesion and flow, and all sorts of useful things that will help you revise your papers like a professional writer. Project Whiskers
April 8 – 10 am to 2 pm
Inside Memorial GymPlease come and help make a difference at Project Whiskers. We need donations to help these fostered kittens. You can come to the event to donate these needed items. Project Whiskers is April 8 from 10 am until 2 pm in Memorial Gym. Some items needed are dry and wet cat food, litter, toys, or any other related items. This event is to help find these kittens their forever homes. If you are an animal lover but can’t adopt, then come help make a difference.

Eagle Works competition on Saturday!
The 9th annual Eagle Works competition is this Saturday, April 9 at 2 p.m. in the Bell Hall auditorium! Come watch 13 student teams from across campus as they pitch their business idea Shark Tank-style to a panel of judges for a piece of the prize pool worth over $10,000 in donor-funded scholarships!

APO Pine Cone Bird Feeder Making
Please join Alpha Phi Omega in making Pine Cone Bird Feeders for our feathered friends! This event will be held Thursday, April 7th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Centennial Plaza. Supplies will be provided and all parts of these feeders will be biodegradable. We will also be using peanut butter for this project so please be advised for allergy purposes.
Alpha Phi Omega is a Co-Ed Service Organization based on the Cardinal Principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service. A few examples of what we do include: Blood Drives, Personal Care Product Drives, Relief Drives, Campus Cleanups, Nursing Home and Emergency Services Card Making, etc. We strive to embody the aforementioned Cardinal Principles in all that we do in order to help others, build lifelong friendships, and develop ourselves as professional individuals. The Bystander Moment film screening
Join Peer Empowerment Program (PEP) for a film screening of The Bystander Moment: Transforming Rape Culture at its Roots. The film screening will take place on April 20 at 7pm in Bell Hall Room 282. There will be free snacks and giveaways!

Data Science League Meeting with Alumni from Amyna Systems 4/7 @ 11am
Join the Data Science League this Thursday April 7th at 11 am in Bruner Hall 327! DSL is welcoming Tennessee Tech alumni Max Rahmani as our next guest speaker. Max is a Data Scientist for Amyna Systems, a cybersecurity start-up. He will be discussing how he decided upon and pursued data science as a career path, his experience finding a data science position, and his current role and the tools he uses in his day-to-day work. All Ladies in Civil Engineering (ALICE) will host a potluck picnic at Cane Creek Park on Saturday April 23 from 11 am to 1 pm. We will meet at the parking lot near the volleyball court.
