  • Wondering What To Do With Your Prom Dress? Consider Donating It!

    The SOLO Events Committee is seeking donations of gently used formalwear (i.e. suiting and gowns) for their Spring Masquerade Ball. Kenneth Clack, President of the SOLO Events Committee, describes the gala as “allowing students from all backgrounds to enjoy a night of celebration – boosting confidence and creating a sense of belonging.”

    Donations will be accepted through Friday, Mar. 7th. Donations may be made via labeled boxes by the RUC Information Desk and outside of the Intercultural Lounge/Multipurpose Room. For questions, please e-mail InterculturalAffairs@tntech.edu.

    Third Annual Jessica A. Kelley Silent Auction

    The Third Annual Jessica A. Kelley Silent Auction is coming March 26th and we are asking you to donate any items (tax deductible) for the auction. This event raises money for the Jessica A. Kelley Memorial Scholarship to benefit Psychology students. We currently have a wide variety of things and we are looking for more. This can include art, an item, or even a voucher for something like a lesson. Please contact Elizabeth Nolan at eanolan@tntech.edu to schedule drop off of items and consider joining us on March 26th to participate in the auction as well!

  • WEST Workshop 3/4: Thinking About Writing

    Do you find writing intimidating or struggle to find your own voice? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Tuesday, 3/4, we will lead a dead hour workshop on Thinking About Writing. We can talk about how to claim your own voice as a writer and how to demystify writing itself. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 304B, from 11:00-11:50. No registration required, and all are welcome.  If you can’t make the workshop, come for a one-on-one session.     Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar

    This Friday’s seminar will feature Cordell Griggs (TTU Physics), Emma Krebs (TTU Physics/Mathematics), and Jack Seger (TTU Physics/Mathematics) who will each describe some of their recent research work. Titles and abstracts for the presentations can be found here. The seminar will be at 4pm in Bruner Hall 210 with snacks served starting at 3:30pm. These seminars are geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are encouraged to attend!
