Study Skills for People Who’ve Never Studied Before with The Launchpad
Help your students build stronger study habits. The Launchpad Student Success Center invites students, particularly first-year students, to attend Study Skills for People Who’ve Never Studied Before on Sept. 1 from 3:00-3:45 p.m. in Room 120 (Testing and Learning Center) of Volpe Library. Students will learn practical, science-backed strategies to improve retention, increase study efficiency, and prepare for academic success. Please encourage students who may benefit to attend. First English Club Meeting!
The first meeting for the English Club will be Tuesday, September 1 during dead hour (11 AM – 12 PM) in Room 216A at Henderson Hall! This meeting will discuss the plans for the rest of the year, including ideas for the Spring 2027 term!
Additionally, pens with Sigma Tau Delta branding will be given out so everyone can write with a sense of stylish camaraderie.

ROTC HOSTS 9/11 MEMORIAL STAIR CLIMB
Join ROTC as we honor the victims and our heroes with a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Saturday, September 12, 2026, starting at 7:00 a.m. at Tucker Stadium. Walk without weight or join the cadets and climb with a 35-pound backpack to simulate the firefighters’ gear as they climbed the World Trade Center.

Free Computing Foundations Workshops Hosted by Research Computing & Data
Registration is open for Research Computing & Data’s free, beginner-friendly Computing Foundations Workshop Series. Workshops meet from 6–9 p.m. on select Thursdays in Bruner Hall 126. Attend individual sessions or complete the 12-hour pathway to earn an optional Certificate of Achievement. No previous experience is required. Tennessee Legislative Internship Spring 2027
Tennessee Legislative Internship Informational Meeting will be held Tuesday, September 1st, at 11am in Matthews Dan 204. Relaxation Hours EVERY Thursday
The Center for Counseling and Mental Health Wellness will be hosting “relaxation hours” during the semester every Thursday from 11:00am-12:00pm beginning on September 3rd. You will have access to our massage chair, red light therapy, Zen garden, napping mats, and a relaxing and supportive environment while you take a break in between classes. The relaxation hour will be in the Eagle Resource Room, RUC room 387. No sign up required – all students are welcome!
