TALON Procurement Module Changes Coming
Talon Procurement Module Changes coming in 26C Release on September 19, 2026. The new release will include the following new functionality:
- View additional Information about Location and Supplier
- View additional Information about Preparers, Requesters, Buyers, and Approvers
- Access Cart Details Directly During Requisition Creation
- Create a Smartform Request without Copying Supplier Details from a Previous Request
- Identify Attachments and Notes on my Requisitions
- Search for Deliver-To Locations Using Additional Attributes in Requisitions

Due to emergency utility work, the Chick-fil-A at TN Tech University, located in the lower level of the RUC, will be closed from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17 and Thursday, Sept. 24. Dr. Jinfa Zhang named Associate Dean of Research for the College of Agriculture and Human Ecology
Congratulations to Dr. Jinfa Zhang on his appointment as associate dean of research for the College of Agriculture and Human Ecology. Dr. Zhang previously served as director of the School of Agriculture and brings to the role more than 40 years of higher education experience.
As a prolific and award-winning researcher, Dr. Zhang is a top-cited expert in cotton genetics and breeding whose work has been recognized by National Cotton Council of America, the Journal of Cotton Science and others.
As director of the School of Agriculture, Dr. Zhang has continued to elevate and modernize the school’s academic programs, including the new fully online agribusiness degree pathway.

Temporary parking closure for Sept. 17 Employer Expo
Please note that the university is hosting its annual employer expo on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Hooper-Eblen Center. This event will bring 180 employers to Tech’s campus and is the Center for Career Development’s largest employer event held each year.To provide parking for our employer guests, the narrow strip of purple-zoned parking between the soccer fields and the Hooper-Eblen Center will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, and reopen after 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Please also expect additional vehicular and pedestrian traffic around the Hooper Eblen Center on Sept. 17 for this event. Thank you for your understanding.
