    Three New Academic Programs Approved by THEC

    The Tennessee Higher Education Commission approved three new academic programs at its Commission meeting May 15, 2025.  Approved programs span multiple disciplines, reflecting Tennessee Tech’s commitment to interdisciplinary education and addressing critical workforce demands in Tennessee and beyond.

    The new programs are:

    Interdisciplinary Computing B.S.
    (College of Interdisciplinary Sciences), effective August 1, 2025.

    Agriscience Technology M.S.
    (College of Agriculture and Human Ecology), effective August 1, 2025

    Child Life M.S.
    (College of Agriculture and Human Ecology), effective August 1, 2026

    Farewell Reception for Dr. Kumar Yelamarthi

    Join us as we say goodbye and send our best wishes to Dr. Kumar Yelamarthi, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. We will celebrate his contributions and new journey at a farewell reception on June 18 at 3 PM in the AIEB lobby.

    Dr. Yelamarthi is leaving Tennessee Tech to become the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Let’s come together to thank him and wish him well in this exciting next chapter!

    The event is hosted by Upperman Middle School at 6700 Nashville Highway in partnership with Tech’s ESTAR Sanos – Be Healthy outreach program, Health Heroes, and Life Church DUO Medical Mission.This free clinic offers vaccines for Flu, COVID, Shingles, adult Pneumonia vaccine, and T-DaP – for Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Whooping Cough.

    Join the CITL for our summer book club as we read through and explore Teaching with AI: A Practical Guide to a New Era of Human Learning by José Antonio Bowen and C. Edward Watson.     College of Education & Human Sciences 11th Annual Awards Celebration

    On Tues., May 6, members of the College of Education & Human Sciences and district partners gathered at the STEM Center for the 11th annual Teacher Appreciation Awards Celebration recognizing the faculty, staff, current education professionals, and students. “Recipients were nominated by a combination of students, faculty, staff, and mentor teachers,” said Lisa Zagumny, Dean. “We were excited to share the positive comments from the nomination letters.”

  • C&S Staff Day 2025 Vendor Request

    We are excited to offer the opportunity for you to join us at our 5th annual clerical and support staff day on Friday, August 8, 2025!

    The Staff Advisory Committee is hosting our next Staff Day and need vendors! Join us by setting up a vendor booth where staff in attendance can learn more about departments, organizations, and resources on campus. The event will be in Stonecipher Lecture Hall and doors will open at 7:30am for set up with registration starting at 8am. Attendees can browse vendor booths until the 8:30 welcome and during breaks. The event ends at 1pm.

    To comply with State Audit directives and Tennessee Tech Policy #130, any audit or review notices or reports received from external agencies should be forwarded to Internal Audit when they are received throughout the year. If you or your department have received any audit or review notices or reports from external agencies during FY25 that have not already been forwarded to Internal Audit, please send them to internalaudit@tntech.edu at this time. As you receive reports in the future, please send them to the same address.
