2025 W-2 and 1095C update information
Electronic W-2 consent option and address changes for W-2s are due by Monday January 13, 2025.
Please review the following reminders concerning the upcoming delivery of W-2’s. For added security, we encourage that you elect to have your W-2 electronically delivered through Eagle Online/Banner Self-Service. To do so, follow this path: Banner Self Service-Employee-Tax Forms-Electronic Regulatory Consent. You can consent to have both your W–2 and 1095-C delivered electronically. If you prefer the paper copy delivered to your address on file, please review your mailing address and make any required changes on the Change of Address Form. Any updates need to be sent to the Office of Human Resources no later than 1/13/2025.

Update Syllabi to Reflect New Policy 216
The syllabus template has been updated and published in the Faculty Handbook, including a new statement reflecting the new Policy 216 Student Academic Integrity. This policy and statement replace Policy 217 and the previous academic misconduct statement. The new policy is effective January 1, 2025. Please ensure all syllabi are updated per the current template available at https://www.tntech.edu/handbooks/faculty/syllabus.php.

New Policy 216 Academic Integrity Effective January 1, 2025
Effective January 1, 2025, Policy 217 Student Academic Misconduct was replaced by Policy 216 Student Academic Integrity. The policy, associated procedures, and forms have changed. Tech’s Dr. Jeremy Wendt named to statewide Educator Preparation Advisory Council
The College of Education congratulates Dr. Jeremy Wendt, professor and chair of the Department of Curriculum & Instruction, on being named to the statewide Educator Preparation Advisory Council convened by the Tennessee State Board of Education.
The council will work with the state to strengthen policy and data reporting on educator preparation, including the annual Tennessee Educator Preparation Report Card. The group met earlier this month and is set to meet again in the spring.

Confirm your faculty seat at Fall Commencment
Reserve your seat to help celebrate graduates at our Fall 2024 commencement. We expect a packed Hooper Eblen Center with graduates and families. To reserve your seat, please let us know if you plan to attend the 9 a.m. ceremony, the 2 p.m. ceremony or both on Friday, December 13.
If you plan to attend, please register at https://tf.tntech.edu/view.php?id=1643404 by Wednesday, December 11. This RSVP is for faculty members planning to sit in the designated faculty section near the stage.
Although students will be seated as they arrive, the platform party and all faculty are invited to be part of the processional. All faculty are asked to line up in the Hooper Eblen Center tunnel in regalia 20 minutes before the start of the ceremony.

Student Affairs Student Spotlight – Samuel Asare-Duah
Meet Samuel Asare-Duah, our December Student Affairs Student Spotlight! Originally from Ghana, Samuel earned his undergraduate degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and is now a second-year master’s student in Civil Engineering at Tech, graduating this fall. Samuel served as the Publicity and Social Media Manager for the African Student Union, where he was recognized as the “Most Hardworking Officer” for his dedication. After graduation, he will begin his career as a Highway Engineer with Jacobs in Atlanta, Georgia. Congrats, Samuel!
