Thanksgiving Food Drive
The TTU food pantry is organizing a Thanksgiving food drive to collect traditional holiday items such as mac and cheese, canned vegetables, pie crust mix, pie fillings, and more. Several community partners—including EMS stations, other first responder locations, and local childcare centers—have already agreed to host donation boxes! We’ll also be placing boxes around campus to make it easy for students to contribute!
Our goal is to collect enough donations to fill 100 Thanksgiving bags for distribution during the week of the holiday. Many students rely on the food pantry regularly, and several won’t be able to travel home for Thanksgiving. We want to ensure they have access to a warm, comforting meal!

Midterm Tune-Up: Get Back on Track and Finish Strong with the Launchpad
The Launchpad Student Success Center will host Midterm Tune-Up: Get Back on Track and Finish Strong from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Tuesday, October 14th, in Room 106 in TJ FARR.

This Sunday, October 12 at 1 p.m. Tennessee Tech Soccer takes on UT Martin at home.

Tennessee Tech Volleyball vs TSU
This Friday and Saturday, October 10 and 11, your Tennessee Tech Volleyball team takes on TSU at the Hooper Eblen Center.
Friday’s match will be at 6 p.m. and Saturday’s match will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday’s match will be followed by an autograph session with the team and a 30-minute Kids Clinic.
Admission is free for all!

Tennessee Tech Volleyball’s Kids Clinic
Saturday, October 11, your Golden Eagle Volleyball team will be hosting their Kids Clinic after their match against TSU at 2 p.m.
The match will be followed by an autograph session with the team, then a 30-minute clinic for kids in grades 6 or below.

Flower & Gift Fund 2025
All University Faculty, Administrative Staff, and Clerical & Support Staff, as defined by the personnel policies of the University, are members of the University Faculty and Staff Flower and Gift Fund, having accepted group participation in the fund. Each member of Faculty and Staff has the opportunity to contribute to the fund. The $15 contribution is deducted annually from the October payroll check. If you have signed up in the past, there is no reason to re-enroll. If you are new and have not signed up, you can find the Flower Fund DocuSign on the Payroll website under Payroll Forms. Virtual Talon Campus Town Hall: Save the Date for October 22, 9:00-10:00 a.m.
The Talon Team invites the campus community to attend a Virtual Talon Town Hall from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The session will provide key updates and important information regarding Talon implementation, including project updates, platform navigation, end user training and resources, and much more. President Oldham, Dr. Stinson, and Jen Chavez are scheduled to provide opening remarks.

Author Jennifer Case to Speak October 14
Center Stage present Jennifer Case, who will speak Tuesday October 14 at 7 p.m. in Stonecipher, Room 113.
In addition to her evening presentation, Case will provide a Craft Talk/Workshop that afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. in Henderson Hall 307A on writing creativity with research.
Case is an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. She is the author of two books, Sawbill: A Search for Place, and We Are Animals: On the Nature and Politics of Motherhood, which was published by Trinity University Press in September 2024. Case will give an open public reading from We Are Animals:
