    Peer Empowerment Program Information Session – Don’t we all need a PEP Talk?

    Are you passionate about equality and ending sexual violence? (Shouldn’t we ALL be passionate about creating a safer campus?)

    If so, PEP may be the right student organization for you! PEP (The Peer Empowerment Program) is hosting an information session TODAY, Thursday, September 3rd at 4 PM via Zoom. In this half-hour meeting, you’ll learn about PEP and how to become a peer educator. PEPs host awareness events, educational programs, and outreach all about campus safety! We believe everyone has a right to feel safe and welcome on our campus, free from sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking. Join us in making a significant difference!

  • Research 101 Workshop Series

    Research 101 Workshop Series

    The Office of Research, in partnership with Grant Accounting and the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning, presents the Research 101 Workshop Series. This workshop series will equip faculty with the knowledge and know-how to identify which funding options are best suited to their needs, help them navigate the grant proposal process, apply for funding opportunities, and successfully proceed in the research post-award management phase.

    Sessions are open to all faculty and will be offered campus wide. To participate, you can register for each individual session HERE. All sessions will be conducted via Teams and take place from 11-12pm. You can view the full Research 101: Workshop Series HERE.

  • ATTENTION GRADUATE STUDENTS: Graduation Application Deadline

    In addition to satisfying all degree requirements, a candidate for a degree must file an Application for Graduation at the beginning of the semester in which the degree is expected to be conferred.

    The last date for the filing of the application  for fall 2020 graduation is September 7, 2020.  Fall 2020 Graduation Application

    A graduate student shall be enrolled during the term in which the degree is awarded. If a student applies for graduation but fails to satisfy graduation requirements, the student must reapply.

    Delta Gamma Canned Food Drive

    Thursday, September 10th on the plaza from 10:00am – 1:00 pm. As a part of their “Do Good week”, the ladies of Delta gamma will be hosting a canned food drive in support of the TTU Food Pantry. Students, Faculty, and staff are encouraged to donate canned foods and non-perishables to support the families who benefit from the food pantry. Masks will be required.

    Register for the Women’s Leadership Conference Hosted by the College of Business

    The conference will be a virtual event hosted over six Thursdays this fall during dead hour (11:00-11:50am).  Podcast host, author, and Today Show contributor Jean Chatsky kicks-off the event next week on September 10.  Ms. Chatsky will be discussing her book, Women with Money, while providing tips on securing your financial future-regardless of your age.

    Each participant will receive a complimentary copy of Women with Money along with the book Cowgirl Power: How to Kick-Ass in Business and Life by entrepreneur and author, Gay Gaddis who wraps up the conference on November 19.

    Registration for the entire conference is $100 (Tech alumni can use alumni2020 to receive a $15 discount).  Individual session registration is $55.

    Women’s Leadership Conference- September 10th

    This semester-long virtual event will be held on Thursdays at dead hour (11:00 – 11:50 am) over the course of the fall semester. The event is free to all students and begins September 10th! Our first guest speaker will be Jean Chatsky — Today Show contributor, podcast host, and author.

    You can watch from the comfort of your own room or Johnson Hall will be hosting two classroom options for student, faculty, and staff participation. Johnson Hall Auditorium 103 and Johnson Hall 308 will be open and available for our campus community to enjoy participating in the conference.     For just 100 years, women have had the right to vote. The Women’s Center and the Student Government Association will help everyone exercise their right to vote, with information about voter registration and absentee ballots. Check out our Voting Drive on September 3rd from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Centennial Plaza. Learn how to register to vote and register for an absentee ballot. Bring your driver’s license!

    The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) will host their first meeting on Thursday September 10th during dead hour in Brown Hall Rooms 236 & 237. Lunch will be provided.
