Course Evaluation Information Session with IARE – October 31
Get the most out of your course evaluations. The Office of Institutional Assessment, Research, & Effectiveness is hosting an online session about the IDEA course evaluation tool and the role of instructors in selecting the Student Learning Objectives most appropriate for their courses. When instructors select the most relevant objectives for their courses, IDEA reports provide a better evaluation for what occurs in the classroom. Financial Nightmares is a three-part series uncovering the dark side of money management. Nightmare 3: The Disaster is about real cases of catastrophe. Discover the role of insurance in shielding against life’s scariest financial shocks. Landon Vick from Raymond James will be leading this presentation on Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. In Foundation Hall 238.

Research Series Mini Session: Streamlyne

The Launchpad Student Success Center will host “Finding Your Fit: Stories from Formerly Undecided Students” from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 23, in Room 106 in TJ FARR.
Upperclassmen students who struggled to find the “right fit” for their major will share their stories & tips with students currently doubting their major. Spring 2026 Course Materials Are Due October 24th
Course Material submissions for Spring 2026 are due Friday, Oct. 24th.
You may submit your information via AIP (Adoption and Insights Portal) AIP is located in Tech Express and is single sign on; so no more password to remember. 😀 To get to AIP you sign into your Tech Express and unlock the icons, you will then look for “BN AIP” ( it is green with a book logo) drag it up to your favorites and then relock your icons. When you click on the ‘BN AIP” it will bring you to our adoption system and list all of the classes the University SIS system has you teaching.

Gradescope Technology Demo!
Join us on Wednesday, October 22nd virtually at 3:00 pm CST to learn about Gradescope, a grading assistance tool that streamlines grading to save time and ensure fairness. This session will show how Gradescope supports flexible rubric-based grading, provides powerful feedback options, and makes it easy to manage both digital and handwritten student work. We will be celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month/Dig Pink, the 50th anniversary of Tech’s Volleyball program, and Alumni Weekend.
Friday’s game is Senior Night where we will be honoring our 3 seniors before the match.

Pink Out Game & Tailgate – Oct. 25th
Join us on for the Pink Out Game and Tailgate, Saturday, Oct.25th as the Golden Eagles take on Southeast Missouri. We will honor breast cancer survivors and remember those who lost to this battle during the game. Survivors are invited to join the team for the Golden Eagle Walk at 9:30 a.m. and will need to arrive by 9 a.m. to the tailgate lot.
