Reserve Your Spot in the 98.5 KISS FM Tailgate Park!
Reserve your spot today in the 98.5 KISS FM Tailgate Park at Tennessee Tech Football games this season! There will be a $10 fee for the first reserved spot and a $5 fee for each additional spot.
The 98.5 KISS FM Tailgate Lot opens three hours prior to kickoff and will have live music, inflatables, and performances by the Tech Spirit Squads and Golden Eagle Marching Band!
Tech Students can tailgate for free in the Student Tailgate Lot located in the grass area by the tennis courts.

Eagle Eye After-hours Crisis Hotline Expansion
The Center for Counseling and Mental Health Wellness is pleased to announce that the Eagle Eye After-hours Crisis Hotline has expanded to 24/7 coverage. The new Eagle Eye Crisis Hotline is now available to students 24 hours/7 days per week and 365 days per year. The Center for Counseling and Mental Health Wellness also has crisis walk-in appointment hours on Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm. Tennessee Tech Physics Majors Participate in PIRE-GEMADARC Summer School
Tennessee Tech physics majors Emma Krebs and Michael Potts participated in the final NSF PIRE-GEMADARC summer school this summer in Rapid City, South Dakota. The summer school instructs students in the use of high-purity germanium detectors in physics experiments to learn about our universe. Since 2018, this program has hosted 10 Tennessee Tech students in locations such as China, Germany, Ontario, and Taiwan, as well as multiple US locations. For more info, contact mkidd@tntech.edu.

Public Notice for comments on the University’s Stormwater Management Plan.
Environmental Health & Safety is sending out a Public Notice for comments on the University’s Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP). As you may know, the University operates a small municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) permit that is administered by TDEC. The University is required to complete a formal Public Notice for comments on the SWMP. The University’s SWMP can be found on the EHS Stormwater Webpage. Please send any comments regarding the SWMP to ehs@tntech.edu. Comments will be received for a period of 14 days from this notification.

Tech Soccer Hosts Saint Mary’s in Midweek Match
Head to the Tech Soccer field on Thursday, August 22 as your Tennessee Tech Soccer team hosts Saint Mary’s College of California at 7:00 p.m. The Gaels went 10-5-3 overall and 4-3-1 in the West Coast Conference (WCC) last season. Admission is free for all fans!

Retirement Reception for Honors Program Director, Dr. Rita Barnes
Please join us honoring Dr. Rita Barnes at her retirement reception Tuesday, August 20, 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. in Derryberry Hall 200.
Dr. Barnes started her 33-year career as an English adjunct in 1991 transitioning to permanent Director of the Honors Program in 2009. Barnes has presided over numerous advances to the program.
According to one graduate, “The Honors Program is the common thread which runs through my most cherished friendships, strongest relationships with professors, and most impactful academic experiences.”
