Pack the Pantry!
The CHN and FND Clubs will be hosting an event to collect food items for the Oakley Hall Food Pantry on campus. Students will be encouraged to bring a food item to the event to “pack the pantry.” We will be giving away hats and stainless-steel water bottles! We will have food, drinks, and candle decorating this year.
Date/Time: October 20th 11a-12pm

Jumpstart Your Graduate Degree with Fast Track

Volpe Library Halloween Costume Contest
Join us for a Halloween Costume Contest in the Volpe Library.
The contest is open to Students, Faculty, Staff and Pets! Please stop by the Volpe Library Lobby on October 29th from 7:00am – 10:00pm and take a selfie in front of the backdrop and email it to mistykline@tntech.edu. Winners will be contacted by email.

University Police reminder about scooter safety
Scooters are convenient, but riders must follow the same traffic laws as bicyclists in Tennessee. Always wear a helmet, ride with traffic, and stay as far to the right as safely possible. Stop at all stop signs and red lights. Use hand signals when turning, remain alert for vehicles and pedestrians, and never assume drivers see you. Obey traffic signals, stay predictable, and make safety your priority every time you ride.

Child Development Lab Costume Parade
The Child Development Lab invites departments and student organizations to participate in the 2026 Costume Parade.
When: October 30th 8:15-10:15
How it works: Tables will be set up along the Quad’s perimeter. The CDL staff, children and families will walk around collecting treats at each table. Groups are encouraged to decorate their table and dress up, but please be mindful of keeping decorations and costumes child-friendly.

Student and Campus Volunteers Needed for Bands of America Regional Championship
Tennessee Tech will host the Bands of America Middle Tennessee Regional Championship Oct. 30–31 in our new stadium, welcoming 41 high school marching bands and thousands of spectators to campus! Volunteers are needed to help make this major event a success, especially Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. WEST Workshop 10/20: Effective Presentations
Looking for help understanding presentations? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Tuesday, 10/20, we will lead a dead hour workshop on Effective Presentations. We will talk about how to structure, format, and present to an audience. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 306B, from 11:00-11:50. No registration required, and all are welcome.
