Last French Movie April 16 in Henderson Hall 205
The last French movie night will take place on Wednesday April 16 @5pm in HEND 205.
We will show a biopic about the best female soccer player in France (Marinette Pichon). She also played in the USA and fought for women rights as professional athletes.

Chemistry Student Wins Poster Award at National Conference
Mitchell Swann, a junior chemistry major, recently won the Outstanding Student Poster Award for Exemplary Research from the American Chemical Society (ACS) Division of Physical Chemistry at the recent ACS Spring national meeting. Mitchell conducts research with Dr. Ranil Gurusinghe on spectroscopic and computational studies of molecular planarity, confirmational structures, and quantum tunneling phenomena in styrene derivates. Congratulations to Michell on his research and this accomplishment!

Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar: Dr. Andi Pina, RIT
This Friday we will be visited by Dr. Andi Pina from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Dr. Pina’s field is Physics Education Research, and because of the rapidly increasing prevalence of quantum technologies in science and society, Dr. Pina has a particular interest in quantum information science and engineering (QISE) education. Dr. Pina will describe how educational practices related to QISE are evolving in their talk The Landscape of Quantum Information Science and Engineering Education and the role of Physics Departments. The seminar will be at 4pm in Bruner Hall 210 with snacks served starting at 3:30pm. These seminars are geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are encouraged to attend!

Events include April 7: AI Carnival from 11AM – 1PM on the LSC Lawn, April 8: AI Research Posters will be available to view from 11AM to 1PM in the RUC Lobby, April 9:AI Movie Night beginning @ 5PM in the AIEB Atrium and April 10: AI Guest Speaker Jie Ying Wu, Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University, will present “Machine Learning, Medicine, and Robotics” beginning @ 11AM in SLH 113.
