“Going Through the Motions”: Jillian Warner Senior Thesis Exhibition
Senior Thesis Exhibition for Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dual Focus
From April 18-29 the Appalachian Center for Craft will be showcasing the Dual Focus of Graphic Design and Metals exhibition by Jillian Warner. The work will be displayed in the Critique Room, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“Going Through the Motions” features four painted metal pieces that when their shadows are cast tell a story of a person’s inner turmoil. Join us in the experience of emotions and how they affect all of us with metal pieces cut, assembled and graffiti painted on designed artwork.

Tech hosts UT Martin in Weekend Series

Bringing Awareness To Missing Murdered Indigenous Women
During Sexual Assault Awareness Month, TnTech College Democrats will be having a tabling event to bring awareness to an issue that is hindering our nation. We will be talking about the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women issue that is hurting the Indigenous community. Hundreds of indigenous people go missing every year, and many of their cases are left cold. Come talk with TnTech College Democrats and the Native American Student Alliance about statistics and how to help the indigenous community.

The Office of Communications and Marketing has opportunities for the fall 2024 semester for students to gain experience while working with our creative professional staff. Paid positions and internships available.
Student workers and interns with OCM work with our social media, photo and video, web and digital media, creative services, news, and event planning staff to create content and plan events that highlight what it’s like to be a Golden Eagle.

Take Back the Night!
Join with the campus community to take a stand against sexual assault and domestic violence at Take Back the Night this Thursday, April 11th, at 6 pm in Bell Hall room 282. The event will feature survivor testimonials, followed by a candlelight vigil to raise awareness of sexual violence. We will end the evening with a catered reception honoring survivors. All are invited to participate, and we would love to see many clubs and organizations around campus represented. This event is sponsored by Pi Sigma. Contact owatkins42@tntech.edu for questions.

“Even Children Get Older”: Charity Armao Senior Thesis Exhibition
Senior Thesis Exhibition for Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting
On April 13, 2024, Charity Armao will open her thesis exhibition, with reception at 5:00 p.m. The exhibition continues through April 22. The show will be located inside the Bryan Fine Arts building lobby at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN.
The exhibition will feature oil and acrylic paintings exploring what it feels like to grow up. Armao revisits moments in her life where she felt her childhood dying and encompasses the feeling of being in between childhood and adulthood.
