Last Call for a PEP Information Session
The Peer Empowerment Program (PEP) is hosting an information session TODAY, Wednesday, September 9th at 2 PM via Zoom. In this half-hour meeting, you’ll learn about PEP and how to become a peer educator. PEPs host awareness events, educational programs, and outreach all about campus safety! We believe everyone has a right to feel safe and welcome on our campus, free from sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking. Join us in making a significant difference!

Client Success Story: Soard Properties Launches New Website
Rural Reimagined and its partner TCRI are excited to share about Soard Properties, a new client success story. Soard Properties has provided TN Tech students and surrounding communities with apartments and houses for over 40 years, but they did so without a website. With the help of technical assistance from Rural Reimagined and TCRI, Soard Properties now has a new website that features their various buildings. Kinsey Potter, a Ph.D student and the creator of the website states, “This was a great opportunity to learn website development skills and gain real life experience serving local businesses.” The management of Soard Properties states, “As many of our tenants are TTU students, Management of Soard Properties was excited to collaborate with Kinsey Potter on the website Design. TTU Water Professionals and Engineers Without Borders are currently electing officers for the 2020-2021 school year! Eligible positions for each student organization include: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Event Coordinators, Project Coordinators, and EJC Representative. Being an officer will allow you to gain leadership skills and improve your resume, all while making a difference in both the local community and abroad. NSF announces fall deadlines for Graduate Research Fellowship Program applicatio
The National Science Foundation announced the fall deadlines for students to apply to the Graduate Research Fellowship program. The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate education of eligible individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant research achievements in STEM or STEM education. Applications for this program are submitted directly by the student in the research.gov GRFP Application Module (https://www.research.gov/grfp/Login.do); however, we ask that all students planning to apply contact Jamie Murdock at (jlmurdock@tntech.edu) so we can ensure that all applicable internal paperwork is prepared prior to submission.
