    Eagle Works deadline 3/29 – compete for $15k+ in scholarships!

    Get ready to face the Tennessee Tech version of Sharks in the 10th Annual Eagle Works competition! Pitch your best idea to our panel of judges for a chance to win a piece of over $10K in scholarships!

    Create a team or work alone, get registered, and then get ready to create a short business summary (3-6 pages, due March 29) and 7-minute pitch that you’ll present in preliminary rounds (if needed) April 4th or 5th, and potentially the final round on April 15th!

    All the information you need is on the Eagle Works website at www.tntech.edu/eagleworks – so get registered and get ready for chance at the spotlight!

    Need help? Pitch practice and guidance will be available March 21 and 28 in the Makerspace starting at 4:30 p.m., and virtually on March 23 starting at 5 p.m. If none of those times work for you, please reach out to us and we can work something out!

    The Makerspace is on the third floor of Volpe Library. Use the north staircase (past the IT Help Desk) to access.

    All Ladies in Civil Engineering (ALICE) and Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) will be joint meeting on Thursday, March 23, at 11:00 am in PRSC 330. All ladies who are majoring in Civil Engineering or who would like to major in Civil Engineering are welcome to attend. There will be a guest speaker, Jamie Waller from TDOT, giving a presentation.     This Saturday (March 25th) from 9am to 3pm, join us for a fun-filled day on the Quad supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities! Hosted by Alpha Delta Pi, Spring Fling will have something for everyone! With over 40 local vendors and food trucks, you are guaranteed to find something for you! Carnival games, pictures with the Easter bunny, and inflatables will also be available for families. Spring Fling is open to all students and community members, and it is FREE to attend!     Tonja Torgerson & Christa Carleton Discuss Body Politic

    The Joan Derryberry Art Gallery presents Body Politic, a collaborative print series by Tonja Torgerson and Christa Carleton. Together they challenge the conventional views that beleaguer gender roles through the figurative nude. “With our collaborative project Body Politic, we contribute our perspectives to a vast commentary set forth by our predecessors in intersectional feminism, and raise our voices in support of inclusive change.” Meet the artists on Thursday, March 23 at 4:30 p.m. in the Roaden University Center 124 for a gallery talk and reception.
