Brief Online Mental Health Screenings Available
Behavioral health – which includes mental health, substance use, and more – is a key part of your overall well-being. Brief screenings are the quickest way to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a behavioral health professional. Think of these as a checkup from your neck up. The Counseling Center offers the Mindwise Brief Screening program which is completely anonymous and confidential, and immediately following the brief questionnaire you will see your results, recommendations, and key resources. Tech Basketball Welcomes Tennessee State
Your Tennessee Tech Women’s and Men’s Basketball team get set to host Tennessee State in a double header on Tuesday, February 13 at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. All Tech students receive FREE admission!
It’s Play4Kay Night! Join us as we raise awareness and fight against all cancers affecting women. It’s also Greek Night at the Hoop! Any TTU Greek Alum wearing their organizations letters receive FREE admission! There will be free t-shirts while supplies lasts!

AIChE Chipotle Fundraiser this Wednesday, February 7th!
Tennessee Tech AIChE is hosting a fundraiser night at the Interstate Drive Chipotle on Wednesday, February 7th from 5 – 9 p.m. A portion of the night’s proceeds will be donated to the chapter to cover costs for our attendance AIChE Southern Regional Student Conference in Auburn University. Sell your idea in 90 seconds at the Eagle Works Elevator Pitch workshop 2/7
Learn how to tell your story in 90 seconds or less at this workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 5 p.m in the iMakerspace. This will help you get ready for the Eagle Works Idea Challenge on 2/15 – your chance to win $1000 scholarship.
We’ll follow this session up with a chance to practice your pitch on Monday, Feb. 12 at 5 p.m., also in the iMakerspace.
The iMakerspace is on the third floor of Volpe Library. Use the north staircase (past the MyTECH helpdesk) to access. If you need an accessible entrance, please email Andrea at akruszka@tntech.edu before 4:30 p.m. that day to arrange.

Closing reception and Artist Talk this Thursday Feb. 8th, 2024 at 5 pm.
Please join us for the closing reception and Artist talk this Thursday, Feb. 8th at 5 pm in the Joan Derryberry Art Gallery. Artist Lisa Crane will be present to discuss her work titled, “Trophies.” Crane’s work strives to depict the female experience. She states, “I am interested in the ways women push back, and use their metaphorical elbows to make room for themselves.”
The Joan Derryberry Art Gallery is located in the main lobby of the Roaden University Center. The event starts at 5 pm and there will be light refreshments. To find out more about the artist you can visit her website at www.lisacrane.net.

2024 Mandatory Training – Title VI
Title VI prohibits discrimination based upon race, color, national origin, and Limited English Proficiency. All employees must complete annual Title VI training by April 10, 2024. Failure to complete the training by this deadline will result in the termination of access to Tennessee Tech computer resources and be a component of employee performance evaluations.
This training can be accessed in Tech Express by locating the red tab for Title VI training on the Campus Resources Card. If you have questions, contact the Compliance Office at compliance@tntech.edu.

Please submit a “Space Request Form” found on the Facilities & Business Services website at https://www.tntech.edu/facilities/forms.php. Once completed, please email a copy of the form to Gail Gentry at ggentry@tntech.edu.
Submission of this form ensures our campus space inventory is updated as needed.
The Campus Space Utilization and Allocation Committee will meet Friday, February 16, 2024. If you have a request to submit for review at this meeting, please submit your form no later than Friday, February 9, 12:00 p.m.

WEST Workshop: Learn how to Revise!
Is this the semester when you stop letting your first draft be your final draft? Does your instructor keep telling you to revise your work, and you’re just not sure what they want? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Thursday, 2/8, we will host a dead hour workshop on the writing process and revision strategies. We will talk about organization, how to see your work with new eyes, and how to revise your papers like a professional writer. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 216A. No registration is required, and all are welcome! And if you can’t make the workshop, schedule a a one-on-one session at our website. We look forward to working with you!

CITL: Reaching Students through Intelligent Agents
Intelligent Agents is an iLearn tool that will automatically send an email to a student based on an action (like achieving certain grade on a quiz) or an inaction (like failure to submit an assignment) in a course. In this session, we will show what those automatic emails look like for students and link to resources on how to create Intelligent Agents in your own courses.
