Annual Running of the Freshmen Saturday
All Tennessee Tech Freshmen are invited to participate in the annual tradition of Running of the Freshmen at Tucker Stadium this Saturday, September 21 prior to kickoff of Tennessee Tech vs. Tennessee State. Freshmen can head to the Northeast end zone at 12:30 p.m. to claim their Running of the Freshmen t-shirt! The class of 2028 will lead the 2024 Tennessee Tech Football team out on the field prior to kickoff. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.

Tennessee Tech Football Welcomes Tennessee State for Home Opener
Head to Tucker Stadium for Family Weekend on Saturday, September 21 for the Tech Football home opener as your Golden Eagles take on Tennessee State with kickoff set for 1:30 p.m.
The 98.5 KISS FM Tailgate Park officially opens at 10:30 a.m. with live music, inflatables, and performances by the Tech Spirit Squad and Golden Eagle Marching Band. Students can tailgate for free in the Student Tailgate Park located in the grass area by the tennis courts along McGee Blvd. Fans can catch the traditional Eagle Walk at 11:15 a.m. as the team heads to Tucker Stadium.

College of Business hosts AI pioneer Zack Kass on Thursday, Oct. 3
The College of Business will host AI pioneer Zack Kass on Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Leslie Town Centre. The Fall Celebration dinner begins at 5:30 pm with a reception, followed by a seated dinner program at 6:30 pm. The former head of go-to-market at OpenAI, Kass is a sought-after AI futurist, keynote speaker and consultant who has spent the last 14 years navigating and leading the evolving AI landscape. Kass has advised leaders ranging from Coca-Cola and Boeing to the White House on AI strategy. Tickets to the event are $95 for alumni, friends and the public. Tennessee Tech Football Fan Information During Tucker Stadium Construction
The Tucker Stadium west side demolition and rebuilding will impact Tennessee Tech Golden Eagle Football games during the 2024 and 2025 seasons before opening the new west side of the stadium for the 2026 season. Golden Helix 5K
Join us for our annual Golden Helix 5k race on Saturday, October 12th at 9:00 am. We have been officially SOLO funded, so Tennessee Tech students can run for free this year. We are also needing volunteers for the days before the race as well as the day of the race. If you are interested in running or volunteering, you can scan the QR code on the website. Tech students must bring their student ID card with them to packet pickup. We hope to see you all there this year!

“Breakfast with Brad” Morning Fitness Swimming
Faculty and staff are invited to come join “Breakfast with Brad” Morning Swim Workouts at the Memorial Gym Pool. Come get your swim workout in prior to work or just come to practice your drills and your swimming. Based on your schedule, come and swim the entire time or as little as you want. We will meet every Thursday morning this semester from 6:30- 7:45 am for those interested. A light breakfast and coffee will be available on your way out each Thursday.
