Disco swing
Grab a friend, dress up in your best 70s outfits, and come groove with the Swing Dance Club in the Memorial Gym dance studio this Thursday, March 12th at 7 pm! This will be a fun night of dancing that you won’t want to miss! Snacks will be provided, and a beginner dance lesson will occur at 7:30!

CAPS Art Contest: March 27
The Center for Addiction Prevention & Support at Tennessee Tech University is hosting an art contest for emerging adults ages 18-29, on March 27, 2026 from 5:30 to 7 p.m at the center’s office at 10 W Broad Street, Cookeville (Regions Bank building).
The contest theme is self-image and its link to a drug-free future. Participants are invited to submit original artwork that reflects how positive self-image supports healthy choices and prevention.
The winning artwork will be featured as the centerpiece of a social media and prevention campaign. The winner will also receive a gift basket. Submissions are due March 27. To sign up, use the QR code on the event flyer, or email rbussell@tntech.edu.

Nominations for the 2026 Derryberry Award due March 13
The 2026 Derryberry Award nomination deadline is Friday, March 13. This award was established in honor of the late Everett Derryberry after 34 years as president of Tennessee Tech. This prestigious honor grants a plaque and cash award to a graduating senior who demonstrates a high level of scholastic achievement and successful campus involvement in leadership and enrichment opportunities. Individuals who graduated in December 2025 or are scheduled to graduate in May or August 2026 are eligible for nomination.

28th Annual Celebration of Craft
The Appalachian Center for Craft invites everyone to attend the Celebration of Craft, our biggest event of the year! Celebration is free and open to the public from 10am – 5pm on Saturday, April 11th, with demonstrations in glass, blacksmithing, clay, wood, and fibers studios. Golden Eagle football scores big with transfer portal for 2026 season
Your Golden Eagle football team is bringing in top talent through the transfer portal for the 2026 season. In transfer portal rankings from FCS Football Central, Tech claimed three of the top 15 wide receivers (Ivan Hoyt #11, Gabe Nunez #4, Eric Weatherly #3), the #3 running back (MJ Flowers) and two top 10 quarterbacks (Zolten Osborne #10, Jax Leatherwood #3). The momentum comes as we look ahead to the first season with the new west side of Tucker Stadium this fall. Wings Up! 🦅🏈

Honors Program Students Present at TCHC Honors Conference
Please join the Honors Program in celebrating our students who presented at the TCHC Honors Conference: Yulieth M. (ChE & SPAN), Júlia H. (PHYS & NuclearE), Adia B. (HEC), Jackie J. (ANS), Matty H. (SOC), Eli M. (MDS & SPAN), and Trevon C. (ME). Students shared their research with faculty and peers from across the state. Arrive Alive: March 5
The Center for Addiction Prevention & Support will host Arrive Alive from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 5 on the main quad.
Arrive Alive is a safety awareness event focused on the dangers of drinking and driving. Students are invited to learn practical strategies for making responsible decisions, protecting their friends, and staying safe over spring break.
Participants will have the opportunity to pledge to Arrive Alive. Free pizza will be available while supplies last.

The Center for Student Engagement is Hiring – Apply now!

We will hire two with the Center for Student Engagement and one with the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life.
