  • Dr. Jashell Mitchell Spring 2024 Dr. M. Dianne Murphy Leaders for Life Speaker

    The Dr. M. Dianne Murphy Leaders for Life speakers series is proud to welcome Dr. Jashell Mitchell as its spring 2024 speaker. The event will take place Monday, February 19 at 7 p.m. in SLH 126.

    Dr. Mitchell was selected by the National Football League to serve as the Manager of DEI and HBCU Relations where she managed the HBCU Careers in Football Forum and the NFL Experienceship program. She assisted with the Women’s Careers in Football Forum.

    Jashell currently serves as the Chief of Staff for Football Operations at Jackson State University. She created the Total Tiger Experience which serves as the leadership/professional development and community impact. While serving as the Assistant AD/Chief of Staff, she was named the 2023 Women Leaders in College Sports Rising Executive.

    Leadership the Disney Way’s Trip Presentation

    Tennessee Tech’s College of Business is excited to announce the presentation of Leadership the Disney Way! A group of students and faculty from the College of Business recently attended several sessions hosted by Disney’s Imagination Campus. They want to share their experiences and lessons learned from Disney. They will be covering topics such as marketing, economics, and leadership.   • Open Foundry Night!

    Interested in learning more about the metal casting process? Good news, the Tennessee Tech Chapter of the American Foundry Society is hosting an open foundry night on Wednesday, February 21st starting at 6:00pm. During this time, you will get the chance to see, and even participate in, the casting process as experienced personnel walk you through each step of making your own casting.  Disclaimer:  Only authorized personnel can pour the metals. Closed-toed leather shoes/boots are required. Pants are required (NO SWEATPANTS OR LEGGINGS). Safety glasses will be provided but it is highly recommended you bring your own in case of a shortage.     Current Estimate budget revisions are due to the Budget Office by March 8th. All academic units should submit budget revisions to the Provost’s Office by March 1st. All non-academic units should have budget revisions submitted by March 1st to the proper VP for signatures.

    The Student Veteran Organization (SVO) will be hosting a Valentine’s Booth On Feb. 14th, 2024, from 8am – 1pm on Centennial Plaza. They will be selling chocolates, flowers, and cards. Bundles for chocolate and flowers are $3 and a bundle for chocolate, flowers, and a card will be $5. They will be able to accept cash and Venmo for payment methods.
