Semester Kick-Off with Academy Sports + Outdoors Distribution Center
Join the Center for Career Development and Academy Sports + Outdoors Distribution Center Wednesday, August 11th, and Thursday, August 12th from 11:00 A.M. to 1 P.M. for a Move-In Day Semester Kick-Off.
You can find us at Centennial Plaza, Pinkerton, and Maddux Halls.
There will be free food, door prizes, giveaways, and a grand prize of a kyack at the end of the event. Stop by one of their tents to register and check out the various part-time job opportunities at the distribution center.

Graduate Training Academy now available in iLearn
The College of Graduate Studies and the CITL are pleased to announce the Graduate Training Academy for graduate assistants. This iLearn module will provide all TTU graduate assistants with important information and instruction to ensure their success in the class room. The first training of its kind, graduate students will access the learning modules through iLearn and will have the semester to complete the program content. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate of completion. For more information on the Academy, contact Graduate Studies at gradstudies@tntech.edu or 931-372-3233.

New Graduate Student Orientation is Online
The College of Graduate Studies is providing new student orientation online through iLearn. All new graduate students have the Student Orientation module added to their iLearn account. New graduate students are encouraged to login to iLearn prior to the start of the semester in order to complete orientation prior to the start of classes. Submit educational discount forms to HR by July 19, 2021 to ensure timely processing.
The first day to register for a course at Tech if you are using a fee waiver is July 22, 2021. (An exception to this date might be necessary in summer if an employee is taking an Intersession course. The rule is 4 weeks prior to the start of the semester.)
Tennessee Tech fee payment/enrollment confirmation deadline for Fall is August 17, 2021.
Last day for 100% refund for First and Full Term is August 18, 2021.
Tennessee Tech Fall Term classes begin August 19, 2021.
TN eCampus Fall classes begin August 23, 2021.

Terracon Foundation establishes STEAM scholarships to support diversity
The Terracon Foundation recently announced a grant for Tennessee Tech to support students pursuing a degree in one of the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) fields. This grant will be used to establish the Terracon Foundation Annual STEAM Scholarship for Diversity and Inclusion and will be awarded to students representing diverse populations.
The Terracon Scholarship awards one scholarship to each ethnic population represented at Tech: American Indian/Alaskan Native, Asian, Black/African American, Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander, Hispanic and White.

Budget Office training sessions for August have been scheduled if anyone is interested! Below is a brief description of each training:

- General Budget Training: This training gives a big picture overview of the university budget, Banner screens, and budget revisions. This training is required for signature authority on budget revisions.

- Budget Banner Screen Training: This training focuses specifically on the Banner screens frequently used for budgeting purposes. This is an optional training course.

Budget Shadow System Training: This training focuses specifically on our Shadow System Template. This is an optional training course.
