Tennessee Tech launches third annual “I Heart Tech Students” Campaign
Tennessee Tech launched its third annual “I Heart Tech Students” campaign! With a focus on keeping students enrolled during challenging times, the campaign raises money for Tech’s Accessible Education Center, Counseling Center, Eagle Assistance Grant, Food Pantry and Health Services. While faculty, staff, alumni, students and friends can choose to support one of these five areas, a gift to any area on campus will count towards this campaign. The campaign will run through Mar. 25, and on Mar. 27 — Tech’s Charter Day — we will announce the total of funds raised. Visit 1915.tntech.edu to learn more.

One Billion Rising Submissions Due Saturday!
Tennessee Tech University supports survivors and does not tolerate any forms of power-based violence! Join us in celebrating One Billion Rising. Artistic submissions are due Saturday, Feb 13. Every submission wins a prize!!
One Billion Rising is the biggest global campaign to end violence against women. This year, the event is adapted to be a week-long event that everyone can participate in from home! To participate, submit any form of artistic expression (such as a painting, drawing, poetry, or video) related to OBR, rising, healing, or support for survivors. Submissions can be sent to awaken@tntech.edu (a picture of the submission is fine!).

General Complaint Reporting
In addition to the Fraud, Waste, or Abuse reporting form, Tennessee Tech also has a form on Internal Audit’s website for confidentially reporting complaints about accounting, internal control, auditing matters, code of conduct, and other related issues that are NOT fraud, waste, or abuse. Complainants remain COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS to Internal Audit unless the last section of the form is completed. General complaints received on this form are routed to appropriate campus departments for follow-up.
The form can be submitted online or completed, printed, and mailed to Internal Audit, PO Box 5154, Cookeville, TN 38505.

Tech Teaches Tuesday: Course Alignment in a eLearning Environment
Course alignment is crucial for successful learning. If the content of a course does not align with the course objectives then chances are the objectives will not be met. When designing an online or hybrid course, a lot of thought and planning should go into the structure. The desired outcome(s) of a course should be the primary focus in the design process. In this session we will discuss course alignment through learning objectives and assessment. We will outline a strategy for building alignment within your course and hopefully provide you with some information you can use when structuring your next eLearning offering.

Wednesday, Feb. 10 is the last day to order Love Potions (plastic test tubes filled with M&Ms) through the Student Members of the American Chemical Society’s Square Store (https://smacsttu.square.site/). We will deliver your order to your Tech mailbox (for students) or office (for faculty and staff) on Friday, Feb. 12. Individual love potions are $2 or you can buy 3 for $5. PTC Intern Hannah Krant Accepts Internship with Rural Reimagined
Rural Reimagined (RR) recognizes and congratulates Hannah Krant for accepting an internship with us this semester. Hannah is a senior majoring in Professional & Technical Communication (PTC) within the English department. She will be helping the RR initiative with copyediting and writing stories, blogs, and articles. The internship will connect Hannah with our surrounding rural communities and offer real-life communications experience. Rural Reimagined has had an ongoing partnership with the PTC program, and we are excited to have Hannah onboard!
