Tennessee Tech faculty and researchers are invited to a virtual TTAC information session at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 9. Learn about commercialization resources available to Tennessee Tech through TTAC, including the Proof of Concept Program, which provides $1,500-$15,000 for prototyping, market research, testing and validation. Family Weekend Parent Association Auction 2026
The annual Family Weekend Online Auction begins this week! Bidding starts on Wednesday, September 9 at noon and ends Sunday, September 13 at 8:00 p.m.

Free BSO concert at Dogwood Park
Tennessee Tech’s Bryan Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert at Dogwood Park Pavilion on Sunday evening, September 6th, at 7:00pm. The concert will feature music from Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda, along with patriotic, pops, and light classics. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and experience a wonderful evening of live orchestral music.
Pre-concert activities for young concert goes begin at 5:30pm

Free tickets and transportation to cheer on the Golden Eagles this Saturday in Chattanooga!
Fresh off their big win over Monmouth University, your Golden Eagles will travel to Chattanooga this Saturday, Sept. 5, to take on new in-state rivals the UTC Mocs. Help us pack Finley Stadium with purple by claiming your FREE tickets and charter bus transportation to Chattanooga here.
Our bus will leave from the Roaden University Center at 2 p.m. CT. Students will enjoy snacks and swag items provided on the bus, along with free meal vouchers for concessions at the game. The bus will return to Cookeville immediately following the game (approximately 10 PM CT).
If students choose to drive themselves, the Center for Leadership and Student Engagement will provide free game tickets, concession vouchers, and swag items while supplies last. Students who drive will check in with a staff member by game time at 6 PM. Location will be communicated to students who register. To be eligible for this promotion, students must register in advance via the registration link by Friday at 2 PM:

October 10 stained glass workshop at the Craft Center
Design and create a stained glass artwork from a selection of beginner-friendly patterns. You’ll learn essential techniques including cutting glass, grinding, foiling with copper tape, and soldering to join pieces into a final design. We’ll finish with patina and polishing to help your piece sparkle. Throughout the workshop, you’ll work step-by-step with the instructor’s guidance, gaining confidence in tool handling, artistic decision-making, and safe studio practices. All materials and tools are provided, and we’ll cover safety guidelines for working with the various equipment. No experience is needed – just curiosity and enthusiasm! Click here to register

Welcome Randy Prater – Director of Procurement
Mr. Prater brings more than 30 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, and supply chain leadership. A proud Tennessee Tech alumnus, Randy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Business Management with an emphasis in Decision Sciences. He also served more than 20 years in the United States Army and Army National Guard.
Please join us in welcoming Randy Prater to Tennessee Tech. We look forward to the leadership, expertise, and collaborative spirit he will bring to our university community.
