    Game Dev Club Guest Speaker – Jordan Magnuson

    The Game Dev Club is pleased to announce that Jordan Magnuson will be speaking with us! Jordan Magnuson is a game designer, known for games such games as “Loneliness” and “Freedom Bridge,” and founded the influential indie developer forum TIGSource. He holds an MFA in Digital Art & New Media from the University of California Santa Cruz. Jordan will be joining us on April 29th at 11:00am, at Clement Hall 212. Students may also attend via Zoom.     Alpha Phi Omega is looking for students interested in joining them for community service opportunities on and near campus. We’re having an  organizational meeting on Tuesday, April 13, at 7 pm in LSC 1207 (also on zoom).

    We have a campus cleanup scheduled for Friday, April 16 at 11:30 am. We’ll be cleaning up a portion of the bicycle trail adjacent to Foundation Hall near campus.

    The English Club meets Tuesday, April 13,  11 AM, for this semester’s PED Talk. Please join us as Dr. Gray gives us a glimpse of her new book, Culinary Diplomacy’s Role in the Immigrant Experience – Fiction and Memoirs of Middle Eastern Women, and talks about navigating the publication process. PED Talks are a fun way to get to know Tech’s English professors and their field of study in a non-pressure environment. All majors are welcome!

    Alpha Phi Omega Open Meeting

    Alpha Phi Omega at Tennessee Tech invites all interested students to an open informational meeting on Tuesday, April 6 at 7:00 PM in the Laboratory Science Commons (room 1201) to learn more about our community service and leadership development opportunities. We are currently organizing to re-charter the Tau Epsilon chapter and encourage any interested student to join the organization and help build the local chapter from the ground up as a Founding Member.

    Alpha Phi Omega is the largest intercollegiate community service organization in the United States, with chapters in Canada and the Phillippines. Alpha Phi Omega teaches students to engage in and organize community service projects through developing leadership skills and preparing career-ready graduates as members of the organization.
