    Would you like to serve others during this Christmas Season?  We have an opportunity for you!

    Alpha Phi Omega Community Service Organization presents “White Christmas!”

    Date/Time:  This drive is going on NOW!  We are taking donations through Friday, December 10th!

    Location:  There are collection boxes placed in four locations:  Bell Hall Student Workroom, Brown Hall next to the Main Office, RUC next to the Help Desk, and RUC in Swoops Food Court Area.

    We will be accepting the following hygiene products to be donated to the Cookeville Rescue Mission:

        • Toothbrushes

      Bar Soap
      Toothpaste

    Spring 2022 – Educational Assistance & Fee Waiver Deadlines and Reminders

    Please submit educational assistance forms to Human Resources by Friday, December 10, 2021 to ensure timely processing. Educational Assistance and Fee Waiver forms can be found at the following link:  https://www.tntech.edu/private/hr/employment/benefits.php.  The first day to register for a course at Tech, if you are using a fee waiver, is Monday, December 6, 2021. Tennessee Tech fee payment/enrollment confirmation deadline for Spring Term is Saturday, January 8, 2022. Last day for 100% refund for Spring Term is Sunday, January 9,2022. Tennessee Tech Spring Term classes begin on Monday, January 10, 2022.

While poorly structured group projects can lead to frustration and stifle motivation for students, well-organized projects can pull students together as a team allowing them to learn from each other by sharing perspectives, mindsets, cultural expectations, and ideas.  Join us for part 1 of this two part series and learn how to successfully plan and utilize group work in your courses.

  • Tornado Drill Scheduled Nov. 23, 2021

    Tennessee Tech University will conduct a tornado drill Tuesday November 23, 2021 at 11:30 a.m., barring inclement weather. The drill is an important exercise that allows the Tennessee Tech community to test its readiness in the case of emergency conditions.

    The sequence of the drill:

    11:30 a.m.

    A tornado “warning” message will be issued via:

    • text alert
    • emergency alarm systems
    • digital signage (Main campus only)
    • broadcast e-mail to University faculty, students and staff
    • outdoor sirens (Main campus only)
    • broadcast intercom systems in select buildings (Main campus only)

    Once the tornado “warning” message is received, all members of the campus community should quickly and safely evacuate to the designated areas within each respective building.

    11:45 a.m.

    Wait for the “All Clear” to be issued. Once the all clear has been declared you may resume normal operations.

  • QPR Gatekeeper Training

    Please join the TN Tech Counseling Center for Question, Persuade, Refer Gatekeeper training for suicide prevention. QPR is intended to teach individuals on how to recognize warning signs of suicide and use the QPR framework to assist those individuals in getting appropriate help. This gatekeeper training will be held on November 18th at 11:00am in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room (Room 282).   • Donate to the Women’s Center’s Period Poverty Drive – all month

    Donate to the Women’s Center’s Period Poverty Drive – all month

    1 in 5 first-generation college students experience period poverty – the lack of access to menstruation supplies and hygiene facilities. Help the Women’s Center fight period poverty at Tech by dropping off tampons, pads, sanitary wipes, or other related items to the Women’s Center (RUC 339) throughout November.
