Tennessee Tech’s Department of Computer Science has released its 2026 Eagle Drive magazine.

Meet Zack Williams, our Student Affairs Student Spotlight!
Zack is a junior at Tennessee Tech double majoring in Sociology: Criminal Justice and Computer Science: Cybersecurity. Originally from Tullahoma, Tennessee, he has been actively involved on campus through the Student Government Association, the Sociology/Criminal Justice Club, and as a Junior Ambassador for the Cybersecurity Education Research and Outreach Center (CEROC).

‘Crosswalk Talks’ Promote Pedestrian Safety on North Dixie Avenue
On March 24th, University Police partnered with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office, Cookeville Police Department, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol to conduct “Crosswalk Talks” on North Dixie Avenue near the RUC. Officers and troopers engaged directly with pedestrians, emphasizing the importance of using designated crosswalks, staying alert, and avoiding distractions. The initiative aimed to reduce pedestrian-related incidents and promote safer habits when crossing busy roadways in high-traffic campus areas.

Accessibility Deadline
On April 24, 2026, updated regulations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II will take effect for public universities. The updated rule expands the accessibility requirements for digital content by placing greater emphasis on ensuring that websites, mobile applications, and digital instructional materials, are accessible proactively, rather than applying retroactive accommodations. Student Affairs Student Spotlight – Ethan White
Meet Ethan White, our Student Affairs Student Spotlight!
Ethan is a senior at Tennessee Tech double majoring in Physics and Mathematics. He serves as a Resident Assistant and is the co-founder of Trash Force, an environmental organization focused on litter cleanup across the Cumberland Plateau. Since its founding, Trash Force has collected 1,746 pounds of litter, logged over 250 volunteer hours, and was recognized as Tech’s “Best New Student Organization.”
