    Operation Christmas Child 2020

    The Annual Service Learning and Nursing Collaborative Project, Operation Christmas Child, will continue this year. However, it will look a little different in order for us to follow proper health and safety precautions. You can pick up a flyer at RUC Room 119.       • Donation Drop-off:

    October 19 – November 17

      • | RUC 119 and TTU Campus Food Pantry in Tech Village. More locations may be added along the way.

     

      • Drive-thru Drop-off:

    November 17, 2020

      • between 11am and 2pm at the Roaden University Center. Pull down to the unloading zone where volunteers will collect bags from vehicles. Please have your items in a clear plastic grocery or Ziploc bag and include your $9 shipping fee.

     

      • Outside Packing Party:

    November 19, 2020

      11am – 2pm on Centennial Plaza. We will have all collected items sorted on tables for you to make boxes onsite and donate to the shipping fee. Volunteers will be wearing gloves and masks to assist you in making boxes.

  • Apply for Next Year’s Scholarships by December 15

    The general scholarship application for the 2021-2022 academic year is due Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020. All students must complete this application in order to be eligible for Tennessee Tech scholarships in the 2021-2022 academic year.

    Even if you have a renewable departmental scholarship this year, you have to re-apply in order for that scholarship to be renewed!

    To apply, log into your Eagle Online account, choose the “Student” tab and select the “Apply for Scholarships/Accept Scholarships” link. For additional assistance and information, please visit the Scholarship website.

  • National Chemistry Week Oct. 18 – 24

    The Student Members of the American Chemical Society (SMACS) invite you to join us in celebrating National Chemistry Week (NCW) next week. The theme this year is “Sticking with Chemistry” and focuses on glues and adhesives. The goal of NCW is to educate people about how chemistry impacts their lives and promotes the value of chemistry in everyday life. We have several events planned throughout the week that we invite the campus and general community to participate in: Saturday, Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. we will be giving away take home activity bags in the STEM center lobby; Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 5:30 p.m. in Foster 233 undergraduate Rebecca Firth will be giving a presentation over Green Chemistry and Pollution Prevention; Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 5-7 p.m. we will paint pumpkins and have hot cider in Foster 406; Thursday, Oct. 22 at 5:30 p.m. in Foster 233 we will show the webinar “Strange Tales from the Periodic Table: the Disappearing Spoon”, and Friday, Oct. 23 we will host a spirit night at Panda Express from 4-8 p.m. Make sure to check Tech Times next week for more details on all of these fun events.     General Complaint Reporting

    In addition to the Fraud, Waste, or Abuse reporting form, Tennessee Tech also has a form on Internal Audit’s website for confidentially reporting complaints about accounting, internal control, auditing matters, code of conduct, and other related issues that are NOT fraud, waste, or abuse. Complainants remain COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS to Internal Audit unless the last section of the form is completed. General complaints received on this form are routed to appropriate campus departments for follow-up.

    The form can be submitted online or completed, printed, and mailed to Internal Audit, PO Box 5154, Cookeville, TN 38505.
