    Weekly Grocery Giveaway

    REMINDER: We have our weekly grocery giveaway again this Friday (and every Friday through, at least, April 23rd).  USDA, Farmers to Families and Break-thru Nashville supply the food boxes.  Each box includes milk, cheese, meats, dairy, fruits and vegetables.  This is a Covid-19 relief effort for Putnam County, a partnership between Cookeville Strong, Putnam County Parks and Rec as well as the TN Tech Food Pantry.

    Be there are 10:00 am or earlier.  When the truck is early, we are able to begin the food line early.  

    Volunteers will load the food boxes into your trunks for you, no need to even get our of your vehicle.

    IFC Donates 2,100+ Items to Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter

    The Tennessee Tech Interfraternity Council (IFC) donated more than 2,100 items to the Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter on Friday, March 5, thanks to the generosity of the IFC’s 10 fraternities and the College Panhellenic Association’s five sororities. Items donated to the shelter included dog food, cat food, puppy training pads, dish soap, laundry detergent, and bleach.

    Calling all writers! Creative Writing Contest on Water

    The Office of Sustainability is hosting our first ever Creative Writing Contest for this year’s Water Week (March 22-26)! We are open to all forms of creative writing, such as short stories, plays, poems, comics, etc. The only criteria is that your work must be centered around the theme of WATER and be no longer than 1,000 words! Submissions open March 8th and will close on March 26th! The winner will receive a sustainability gift bag and be featured on our website and social media!   • Free LISS Workout!

    Join Campus Recreation for a free LISS workout Tuesday the 9th and Thursday the 11th at 11 am.

    What is LISS?  LISS stands for Low Intensity Steady State.  It’s a great workout for beginners, anyone needing active recovery, and an enjoyable workout!  We will be walking through campus for 30-40 minutes.  Carrying weights will be offered to those wanting a slightly more challenging workout.
