Delta Gamma Canned Food Drive
Thursday, September 10th on the plaza from 10:00am – 1:00 pm. As a part of their “Do Good week”, the ladies of Delta gamma will be hosting a canned food drive in support of the TTU Food Pantry. Students, Faculty, and staff are encouraged to donate canned foods and non-perishables to support the families who benefit from the food pantry. Masks will be required.

Pelican’s Snoballs Sprirt Night for ACS
Celebrate the start of the new semester with a snoball from Pelican’s Snoballs on Tuesday, Aug. 25 from 4-8 p.m.! This spirit night fundraiser donates a portion of the night’s profits to the Student Members of the American Chemical Society that will be used for campus and community activities. Update on “I Heart Tech Students” Campaign
You have likely seen emails and other promotions about the “I Heart Tech Students” campaign, which will run through March 27 (Tech’s Charter Day). Out of respect for current events surrounding COVID-19, we will no longer be reaching out via phone or email to promote this campaign. The giving site will remain live through March 27, and the areas identified at https://dayofgiving.tntech.edu are as important as ever for students facing tough times. Their academic success is certainly a priority for us all. It is our sincere hope that we can champion these areas more fully in the future. We will communicate a final fundraising total with you after March 27, and we hope to communicate additional celebratory news in the future. In the meantime, please stay safe and stay well.

“I Heart Tech Students” Campaign Supports Students Affected by Mar. 3 Tornadoes
On Mar. 10, Tennessee Tech kicked off the “I Heart Tech Students” fundraising campaign to raise money for programs that assist students during challenging times. This has never been more evident than right now. The Mar. 3 tornadoes affected many members of the Tennessee Tech family. The campaign will focus on raising funds for the Eagle Assistance Grant, Counseling Center, Accessible Education Center, Food Pantry, and Veterans Center. All of these areas support students during tough times. While many across the country have supported the Cookeville-Putnam County Tornado Relief Fund, alumni have also reached out to ask how they can help Tech students directly. T-shirt sales March 10-12
The Student Members of the American Chemical Society have rescheduled t-shirts sales for March 10-12 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the second floor of Foster Hall. This year’s shirt is the “Chemistry Eagle” shirt and is $15. We have limited stock of last year’s “two moles per liter” shirt that is $10. You can buy both shirts for $20. The “Chemistry Eagle” shirt is made on a soft style cotton shirt in heathered purple and the “two moles per liter” shirt is cotton in dark purple. We accept cash and cards. All funds raised go to supporting conference travel for students to present research and chapter outreach activites. Questions can be sent to acarroll@tntech.edu.
