    Clothing Donations – Jan 13th through Jan 21st

    We invite the TTU community to contribute to our Clothing Giveaway Drive by donating gently used professional attire. The purpose of this event is to provide our students with professional attire for career opportunities and special occasions. Donations can be dropped off at the Intercultural Affairs office in Roaden University Center (RUC 258) or at the designated locations on the attached flyer until the afternoon of January 21st. For donation pickups or questions, please contact us at 931-372-3392 or Interculturalaffairs@tntech.edu. This event is sponsored by the Intercultural Affairs office.     The Office of the President is excited to announce our 2025 Ornament Decorating Contest winners! First place was awarded to the Millard Oakley STEM Center, second place was awarded to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, and third place was awarded to Archives & Special Collections. Thank you to each department who participated and brought your creativity and festivity to this contest!

    Fall 2025 Campus-wide Solar System Tour

    Need a break from studying for finals?  The Introduction to Modern Astronomy I (ASTR 1010) class has created a to-scale model of our solar system that fits on campus!  The sun is located in BRUN 243.  From there, walk around campus and locate solar system objects (8 planets, 6 moons, 2 dwarf planets, a comet, and 2 asteroid belts) using the attached map.  There’s some information about extra-solar system objects of interest near BRUN 243.  Objects will be removed by Dec 11.

    Join us as we honor Dr. Douglas Airhart and celebrate his 40 years of dedicated service to Tennessee Tech University! A retirement reception will be held on Friday, December 5th, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Tech Pride Room.

    All are welcome as we thank Dr. Airhart for his contributions to our campus community.

    Last chance to enter Christmas Ornament Decorating Contest!

    The Office of the President is hosting our inaugural Christmas ornament decorating contest! We are still accepting entries through Friday, December 5th. All departments on campus are encouraged to participate in the festivity. Please register here and note the ornament requirements. This year’s theme is gingerbread, and we want to see your creativity with gingerbread men, gingerbread houses, candy, icing, and any other fun supplies you can think of. Entries are not limited to baked gingerbread, but must not be store bought! The contest will be judged by an impartial group and first, second, and third place prizes will be named in Tech Times on Tuesday, December 16th.

    The Student Members of the American Chemical Society invite you to our informational session on summer research opportunities on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. in SLH 126. Students that participated in summer programs this summer will discuss Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs), internships, and CISE grants. Topics covered will be how to find opportunities, how to apply, and experiences in various programs. Pizza and drinks will be served.
